Comfortable stay. But very expensive for the services offered. Probability of lift to work was 1/5 rest it is fine.

At first glance the accomodation seemed very nice. However, during the renting period it became clear the company is mostly focussed on turning a profit and sees tentants as nothing more than cashcows. As such, repairs took a long time and the elevators did not work the first couple of months. Furthermore, if you ever had a question regarding the invoices you were sent, which contained some inexplicable costs, they merely replied they would look into it before ordering you to pay. While their responses regarding the payment of invoices were relatively quick responses regarding other questions or problems were not so quick. It was as if they were waiting for the problems to magically disappear or the broken stuff to magically mend itself. Another prime example of their business model is the amount of money they charge you when you leave. In addition to the hefty additional fees for electricty they will charge you for cleaning. As such, do not be suprised when they state that they will require 1 hour of cleaning for just the cooking plate and more than 30 minutes to make some clean cupboards "shiny" again. Overall, this will amount to well over 100 euro. Needless to say the tentant has just to accept these cleaning times, that are made up on the spot, and pay accordingly.

Never have I been treated with such contempt by a business. For the last 4 months the building has been a construction site. I have been woken most mornings at 7:30 am by drilling in the lift shaft. The noise is unbearable and deafening in the bedroom. This is despite the company sending emails out saying no work on the lifts before 8am. You know what makes it even worse, is that the lifts just stop working every week. Do not stay in this building, it is not good for your mental or physical health.

The building is very nice as well as the personnel, which replies very fast. I like that it's very convenient to live, as all the furniture is included, the terrace is awesome and there's a nice view to the canal from some apartments. However, would be nice to have a laundry machine in the room, the gym could be better equipped and would be nice to have a bike pump in the basement.

The building will see you as a cash cow and completely take advantage of the housing situation in Utrecht, especially for students who come to the country to study in the university. Once you're in, pray you don't have any issues in your apartment. Also, the current tenants pay less rent than advertised in the website, mainly because it is in the corporation's best interest for you to leave as soon as possible so they can charge the next person more for the same room. (Keep that in mind) Other than that, always non-working or partially-working elevators, sub-par gym (just to show it in the contract so you pay more for utilities). But you can't actually visit the site to see what you're buying. On the outside it looks like an amazing place, but that's just it. The corporation sees you as a cash cow and they take forever on everything. Untrained personnel, slow processes sum up my experience with Flying Deer. My suggestion to everyone is the following: If you find another apartment that you could get housing allowance for the duration of your studies, GO THERE. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Have a good day :)

The building is really clean, arranged nicely, and offers great amenities like a gym, sauna, and laundry room. I wish that the gym was better equipped with a variety of machines, however, a treadmill, two ellipticals, a bike, and several free weights are sufficient for a basic workout. Unfortunately, it can be pretty hard to get into contact with administration quickly, but once you do, they are efficient at helping solve any issues that you may have. I've had an overall pleasant experience here, despite being annoyed by little things (elevators are REALLY SLOW, bike parking is sometimes hard to find, and my intercom stops working every couple of weeks). All in all though, the apartments are very attractive and the building is pretty nice to live in.

Beautiful place to stay. You get what you pay in the room that is... The gym is subpar. Only basic stuff. Luckily, basic fit is across the street. My complaint is about building maintenance. My room had an air leak which took 3 days to fix. You can imagine, in the winter how awful this is. But most importantly the elevators and washing machines. The common amenities. They seem to be broken 1/4 of the year. I’m an athletic person and I can climb 5 floors on foot. But what about groceries, trash, and other heavy items? Not to mention handicapped people. 5 days with no elevators and counting till now... The response that was taped on the elevators and not emailed to us was that they would prefer everything be working fine and not having to work overtime. I guess that’s normal because if the elevators are not maintained they will break! Same goes for the washing machines. The entire building went 3 days without washing machines. If you’d like paying 800+ a month and not being provided with the basic maintenance of the common amenities be my guest. I know that after my stay here, I would not recommend this establishment to a friend. In short, a tenant apparently is a cash cow according to the company’s business plan ?

Unprofessionals that only want to milk the tenants. That is what I have seen from them. Severe leakage in my house every time it rains and they have not fixed it until now! 3 weeks no answer and of course nobody replies in the tickets and the emergency line.
