★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Einen IG-Fotoshoot wert! Genau deshalb kann man es auch als Event-Location, z.B. für Hochzeiten, mieten.
Ein Militärgebäude im neoklassizistischen Stil mit eingebauter Galerie, dass in der Vergangenheit den Garnisonskommandeur, den Kriegsrat, sowie die Offiziersgarde und die Soldatengarde beherbergte. Sehr schön am zentralen Platz „Vrijthof“ gelegen. Die Hoofdwacht wurde 1736 von Hendrik Jacob Giehr erbaut und ersetzte eine ältere Wache aus dem Jahr 1642. Das heutige Gebäude wurde 1739 fertiggestellt, aber es hatte ein sehr schlechtes Fundament, sodass die Fassaden rissen. Infolgedessen wurde bereits 1773 das heutige Gebäude grundlegend saniert. Es ist ein neoklassizistisches Gebäude aus Namur-Stein, einem für die Region sehr typischen Material.
Worth an IG photo shoot! This is exactly why it can also be used as an event location, e.g. for weddings, rent.
A military building in neoclassical style with a built-in gallery that in the past housed the garrison commander, the council of war, as well as the officers and soldiers' guards. Very nicely located on the central square “Vrijthof”. The Hoofdwacht was built in 1736 by Hendrik Jacob Giehr and replaced an older guard from 1642. The current building was completed in 1739, but it had a very poor foundation, so the facades cracked. As a result, the current building was completely renovated in 1773. It is a neoclassical building made of Namur stone, a material very typical of the region.
