★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fresh herring "hollandse nieuwe" made to order, separate onions (luckily no fancy chives, but just plain, as things should be) Friendly staff, decent opening hours, eat in or take out, next to a public transport light rail stop.. And of course fresh food.. Really worth a visit!

Me and my boyfriend ordered calamaris and lekkerbek menu and after couple bites we found a DEEP FRIED FLY in the food. We politely show the situation to owner and, after he throw away the fly, he told us to finish the rest. We thought it was reasonable to ask for a refund of the dish but the owner refused and basically yelled and kicked us out, after making us pay for all the food that we did not consumed for obvious reasons.
As we didn’t expect the owner to react that violently, we were not planning to leave a bad review and we didn’t take a photo.
Worst customer experience in the Netherlands!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome guy in red shirt who works there! He is so careful to not cross contaminate between food and handling money. He puts the right amount of sauce etc with food and is not stingy with it. Which makes me come back every day. He deserves a raise! ??
