Staff were friendly and it's a great location. Balcony also nice if a little noisy. However and this is the worst part - I've now got 47 bed bug bites. I'm literally covered head to toe in itchy lumps that have been so bad I wasn't able to sleep and have had to miss work today. Absolutely awful - pay a bit extra people and stay somewhere properly clean. Also my room wasn't ready when I arrived. Granted this was sorted but the original room I was supposed to be in was filthy.

Staircase to hell. Rooms very small. Filthy.. heating turned off in room and infested with bed bugs. Not to mention the shower which was so bad didn't even use. Left after 1 night even though booked for 2... management not interested in complaints

BED BUGS I want to warn everybody planning to stay in this hotel. I wish I had done my homework a bit better. After my stay last week I got itchy red spots all over my upper body and face (!!). When thoroughly checking the reviews (not only the first 2 as I did before my stay) I noticed that there have been 9 complaints on bed bugs in the last 1.5 month (on Booking, I see a lot more here on Google!). The hotel must know this! And they do nothing about it. Instead, they try to mask the smell with an aroma diffuser in the room. Also, I remember there was a bloodstain in the bedding. So stupid of me, but the alarm bells just didn’t ring yet... I just didn’t expect bed bugs would be a thing in the Netherlands. Well, lesson learnt. I called them, but the receptionist just said there were no other complaints about bed bugs. I sent an email with some pictures of all the red spots and asking for a refund, but still haven’t received a response after 3 days. It seems like they don’t take this seriously at all. In my opinion they should close down immediately to let a professional company solve this before letting any more guests stay here.

This hotel had steep, narrow flights of stairs that weren’t shown prior to arriving. The beds were infested with bed bugs and upon approaching the staff with this, they seemed to not care and we’re incredibly rude. There was no manager available on sight. I absolutely do not recommend this place, pay the extra amount for a place that cares about their guests and can meet basic cleanliness and health standards. This was disgusting.

Worst hotel I’ve ever been in. It was freezing cold. You could see me and my boyfriend breath bc of how cold it was in the room. No heating,no television, bad service, disgusting room. Windows were so dirty you couldn’t even look through them. There was a GIANT HOLE in the bathroom door. That’s just insane. Everything about this hotel was absolutely horrible. Please never go here: it’s the epitome of terrible hotels

Quite fine for a few nights in Amsterdam on a limited budget. Nothing fancy but decent. No lift, to access to reception and the rooms you need to climb a steep and narrow staircase. The position is very good being in central Amsterdam.
