β β β β β If good WiFi is at the top of your list, Hegra is the place to be. The rooms are clean, (and tiny), the staff extremely helpful. If you are a couple expecting to sleep in the same bed, request it specifically when you book; otherwise you will get two twin beds. The location is great; not in a noisy area. There is no elevator, and there are five floors. But that's true of many small tourist hotels in Amsterdam. We had to leave too early to try the breakfast. I'd stay there again.

β β β β β Great place. Very nice view to the canal. Wonderful breakfast. Close to dam square. The host was really nice. We enjoy their and we will definitely return their on our next vacation in Amsterdam.

β β β β β The hotel is well located, being about 5 minutes walk from the center. We stayed in room 6 overlooking the canal. It was the smallest room in the hotel from looking at the fire escape plan. It was just about big enough for the 2 of us. The bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom. We could have done with bedside tables. As others have written, climbing the stairs is not for the faint hearted or those who are 6ft 4 with size 11 feet like me! Others have written that the staff are friendly but unfortunately the gentleman we encountered was actually quite surly. There was no warm welcome or please or thank you in conversations. This wouldn't put me off staying here again though.

β β β β β Beautiful tiny hotel! Clean room with canal view and love the minimalist design. The lobby also super nice to work. Friendly staff! It has only small stairs so perfect if you donβt travel with big suitcase!
