Hotel La Boheme - Marnixstraat 415

The rooms were fine but I definetely come to La Boheme for the amazing staff and the perfect location. The staff even helped us to find a cheap parking and kept our lungage all day long (after check out).

Really friendly staff who go the extra mile for you. There’s free hot complimentary drinks and a free cheese tasting everyday! Amazing and varied breakfast with local and organic produce! Rooms were clean and with everything you need. A few negatives would be the steep stairs (we managed fine) and maybe the beds being quite narrow and small (again, this was ok), bathroom is a bit small but didn’t bother us. Overall a lovely experience and would come again.

Hotel La Boheme is perfectly located in Amsterdam and is the best place I could have hoped for when booking a short stay for a conference. As a solo traveler the atmosphere was wonderful, and the free breakfast was something I'm really glad I could take advantage of. My train was cancelled on my last day, so I ended up having to stay later in Amsterdam than originally planned and Astrid held my bags for me while I went out and explored the city for a while. All staff members were extremely helpful, especially Daan who carried my bags for me (I've got an injured ankle at the moment) when I arrived. Of course, the number one best thing about this hotel is Mimi. Mimi is 20 years old, sleeps all day, is the Queen of the Hotel, and is truly an icon. I spent quite a while hanging out with her in the reception area working on my conference presentation, and she's just wonderful. I wanted to address a few things that other reviewers have discussed in the very few lower-rated reviews I've seen here and on other websites. Some reviewers have criticized the offered breakfast as being pretty sparse, but the hotel has definitely changed things since those people stayed there. Astrid mentioned that they have been taking reviewer feedback seriously and they've recently added pancakes and two kinds of eggs to an already great spread of croissants, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt and fruit. The other complaint I saw people had was about the stairs. Yes, they are quite narrow steps and steep, but you have to understand that this is an older building in a city where space has always been limited. Wide staircases just weren't economical when the building was made. If you have large feet like I do you might have to walk sideways a bit, but honestly how much time are you really going to spending on the stairs? To sum this all up, I greatly enjoyed my stay at Hotel La Boheme, and I will definitely be back in the future.

Fantastic hotel! Lots of stairs if you're on the Upper floors so please be aware! The staff were lovely, clean and fresh rooms, the resident cat Mimi is an absolute babe, breakfast had a very good selection and there is a free hot drinks machine at the reception. (no hot drinks facilities in the room). I would definitely recommend.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and functional rooms and last but not least breakfast with a beautiful view which I enjoyed very much . I even enjoyed the steep steps for it was fun to go up and downstairs. I would definitely stay at La Boheme again.

the staff here is absolutely amazing and helpful, the hotel is very nice, cozy and clean. I would definitely recommend coming here for your next trip to amsterdam!

DO NOT BOOK HERE! They will find any reason to keep and take your money. We were forced to cancel due to COVID shutdowns in Amsterdam and the hotel refused to give us a refund. We paid $600 for zero nights spent there.
