★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vanwege de erg goede reviews hadden we enigszins hooggespannen verwachtingen. Helaas met een nare (zoutige) nasmaak het restaurant verlaten. De antipasti voor 2 personen was van een prima kwaliteit. Vreemd genoeg zaten er maar 4 miniscule stukjes (blokjes van 2cm2) focaccia bij; veel te weinig voor twee personen. Gevraagd bij de serveerster om een beetje extra brood. Die moest hier eerst goedkeuring voor vragen, maar uiteindelijk is het goed gekomen.
Voor het hoofdgerecht kozen we allebei pasta bolognese. Dit gerecht bleek om 19:00 al niet meer leverbaar te zijn, ondanks de nogal kleine kaart. Toen maar gekozen voor twee gerechten buiten de normale kaart om: risotto met truffel en paddenstoelen consommé en voor mijn partner pasta met rode pesto en zalm.
Na vrij lang wachten was dit een grote teleurstelling. De pasta met rode pesto was zo zout dat het na een paar happen oneetbaar was. We houden echt wel van goed gezouten gerechten, maar de pasta was zodanig zout dat het eigenlijk nergens naar smaakte, op zout na. Mijn partner heeft uiteindelijk de (tevens stevig gezouten) zalm nog opgegeten, maar niet meer dan een paar happen van de pasta kunnen eten.
De risotto was wat vlak van smaak en ook aan de zoutige kant. Zeker geen hoogvlieger en uiteindelijk niet helemaal opgegeten.
Dit is voor ons de eerste keer dat we gerechten voorgeschoteld hebben gekregen die vrijwel oneetbaar waren door het zoutgehalte. De serveerster heeft nog een 'sorry' laten vallen terwijl de borden werden afgevoerd. Er is echter op geen enkele manier erkend dat de hoofdgerechten ondermaats waren (en wij hongerig zouden vertrekken), integendeel, alles is volledig in rekening gebracht, zelfs de 6 extra blokjes brood (75 eurocent). Chef en de onbeholpen (doch vriendelijke) serveerster hebben niks gedaan om op enige manier aan ons tegemoet te komen. Nogal flabbergasted en hongerig vertrokken.
Saillant detail is dat andere gasten wel een fatsoenlijke hoeveelheid brood bij hun antipasti kregen, nadat wij hier een opmerking over hebben gemaakt. We zijn nieuwsgierig of zij ook 75 eurocent extra hebben moeten betalen hiervoor.
 Due to the very good reviews we had somewhat high expectations. Unfortunately left the restaurant with a nasty (salty) aftertaste. The antipasti for 2 people was of a good quality. Strangely enough, there were only 4 tiny pieces (2cm2 cubes) of focaccia; far too little for two people. Asked the waitress for a little extra bread. He first had to ask for approval for this, but in the end it all worked out.
For the main course we both chose pasta bolognese. This dish turned out to be no longer available at 19:00, despite the rather small menu. Then I opted for two dishes outside the normal menu: risotto with truffle and mushroom consommé and for my partner pasta with red pesto and salmon.
After quite a long wait this was a big disappointment. The pasta with red pesto was so salty it was inedible after a few bites. We really like well-salted dishes, but the pasta was so salty that it didn't really taste like anything except salt. My partner eventually ate the salmon (also heavily salted), but couldn't eat more than a few bites of the pasta.
The risotto was a bit flat in taste and also on the salty side. Certainly not a high flyer and in the end not completely eaten.
This is the first time for us that we have been served dishes that were virtually inedible due to the salt content. The waitress dropped another 'sorry' while the plates were being cleared. However, it was not acknowledged in any way that the main courses were substandard (and we would leave hungry), on the contrary, everything was charged in full, even the 6 extra cubes of bread (75 euro cents). Chef and the inept (yet friendly) waitress did nothing to accommodate us in any way. Rather flabbergasted and left hungry.
A salient detail is that other guests did receive a decent amount of bread with their antipasti, after we made a comment about this. We are curious whether they also had to pay 75 euro cents extra for this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gewoon doen, eerlijke keuken, kleine kaart maar wel vers en erg smaakvol. Je eet prijs/kwaliteit nergens beter en wordt ontvangen alsof het in je eigen huiskamer zou zijn. (maar zonder de afwas te moeten doen) Bedankt, we hebben erg genoten van onze maaltijd in Il Pranzo en wensen jullie nog heel veel succes nar de toekomst toe.
Just do it, honest kitchen, small menu but fresh and very tasty. There is no better place to eat price/quality and you will be welcomed as if it were in your own living room. (but without having to do the dishes) Thank you, we really enjoyed our meal at Il Pranzo and wish you all the best for the future.
