The family doctor is very good. Apart from her, all the attendance is not satisfactory! It takes long for you top be able to set an appointment, the lines are always busy, However, the worst part is regarding specialist doctors. Don't set an appointment with a specialist doctor before asking for the prices - as it can be a real surprise! It lacks transparency. I went with my son to a dermatologist and we asked her to look at his pimples as well as the moles. They charged me EUR 400!! EUR 200 for the pimples and EUR 200 for the moles in a same appointment no longer than 30-40 min! When I questioned they said that's because I had 2 health complaints! I never saw something like that in my whole life!

In my experience, they provide good healthcare and most of the staff of international organizations also go here simply because it is one of the best places to go to in The Hague. They take much more time for examination, they have specialist equipment which means instead of sending you elsewhere after five minutes, they will tell you what's going on directly, and I've always received an appointment in a reasonable timeframe using the phone which I felt was a normal process. They accept a broad range of insurances and I never had any issues. The reception be chaotic at peak times, but I would not argue that this makes the medical care they offer any worse. Of course it costs more than the 27€ the Dutch GP charges for 10 minutes but if you want the advice to go beyond "drink tea and take paracetamol", then I recommend to go here.

The doctors here are all wonderful. However, the organisation seems to have gotten much worse in the last few years. Basically, any time I call or go there, it seems like it's everyone's first day on the job.GP appointments usually start late, and last time I waited over 50 minutes to pick up from the pharmacy. And it would be great to call for an appointment and once, just ONCE not have to wait 10-20 minutes before the receptionist picks up. I try calling in the morning, afternoon, end of the day, it doesn't matter: I am always caller number 7, 10, whatever, I've never once just immediately talked to a person, ever. Just to call and immediately talk to a person, I feel like this should actually be possible, nearly all other businesses and organisations seem to manage it. Please do better IHCH.

After almost a hour on the phone to get an appointment for my daughter they said "isn't urgent enough" and gave me an appointment in 5 days even after I said the kid is lying down on the floor with belly pain. Really nice people.

People who clearly lack communication skills are staffing the clinic's front office. This results in a very disappointing service regardless the competence of the medical personnel.

Doctors are wonderful but the receptionists who answer your calls to make an appointment are incompetent. They don’t know which doctor specializes on what, they tell you they’ll call you back and they don’t. On average you wait 15-25 minutes to make the appointment. I’m trying to find another practice not to go to IHC again

Having had an eye infection (painful, red and swollen eyelid) I called to make an appointment to see a doctor, but they told me to send an email with a picture. I did that the next minute and never heard back. Luckily the infection went by after several days with ophthalmic solution cleaning by myself. Also a way to treat diseases: If the patients don't die they will call again or it will heal itself. And the opening hours are a joke: When working between 8 am and 5 pm, how can you even make an appointment if the phone line is available only between 8 am and 4 pm?

Moving to this practice has given me the FIRST pleasant experience with health care in the Netherlands. It seems, at least in my experience, the complaints in the other reviews have been dealt with, or perhaps two years into Covid, with a shrinking international community, the pressure is less... But I got an appointment quickly, was seen by the GP immediately, and for the FIRST TIME EVER - was truly listened to! Walked away with two specialist referrals, as opposed to the usual paracetamol! THANK YOU.
