Italy in de Haagse Piet Heinstraat is een familiebedrijf met meer dan 50 jaar kennis en ervaring op het gebied van Italiaanse delicatessen en wijnen. In 1930 begint Francesco Cristofoli het importbedrijf voor zijn landgenoten en na zoon Duilio zet kleindochter Fiorella de familietraditie voort.
Fiorella’s winkel staat vol authentieke Italiaanse specialiteiten voor zowel beginnende koks als de meest gevorderde of avontuurlijke. Er zijn meer dan honderd formaten pasta, veel soorten koud geperste olijfolie, originele Aceto Balsamico, mosterdvruchten uit Mantova, speciale soorten bloem o.a. voor pizza, pasta en polenta, risottorijst uit de Po-vlakte, linzen uit Castelluccio, fregola uit Sardinië, truffelspecialiteiten en dit is slechts een greep uit het uitgebreide assortiment dat wekelijks uit verschillende Italiaanse regio’s wordt aangeleverd. Ook de wijnafdeling vertegenwoordigt Italië van Noord tot Zuid.
Italy is een begrip voor fijnproevers en liefhebbers van de Italiaanse keuken, niet alleen in Den Haag maar ook ver daarbuiten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is among my favorite finds in The Hague. They have pretty much everything you'd need to make real Italian food, plus they have a full deli of fresh pasta and salads. The service is very friendly and seems to be run by an Italian family. … We treat ourselves to fresh pasta, which makes an easy and amazing dinner. Going out is just no where near as good, as friendly, OR as cheap as stopping by here. :)

Wonderful fresh pasta - try the ravioli fungi, try the buffalo mozzarella. In fact, try everything. The aged Parmesan with a glass of good red will make you glad to be alive.
