About Single Estate Coffee Roasters
De “terroir” en de variëteit van de koffieboon bepaalt voor een groot gedeelte de smaak van de koffie. Onder “terroir” valt het microklimaat, variëteit, de grondsoort en hoogte. Deze factoren beïnvloeden hoe de plant groeit en hoe deze zicht ontwikkelt. Ook de manier waarop de koffiebessen worden verwerkt en het brandprofiel zijn van invloed de koffie en tot slot natuurlijk de zetmethode.
Onze smaakpapillen kunnen vijf basissmaken onderscheiden: zoet, zuur, zout, bitter en umami. De receptoren om dit te onderscheiden zijn verdeeld over de hele tong en bij iedereen net even anders. Ook de reukzin is zeer gevoelig en kan meer dan 10.000 geurstoffen onderscheiden. Wat je ruikt in koffie, noemen we het aroma.

The pastries are delicious, staff are friendly, and I love the little coffee card they hand you with your drink item.
The atmosphere at Single Estate is relaxing. 5 stars, best cafe.

God I love this place. The industrial vibe the amazing quality coffee machines, the wide variety of coffees and the baristas actually trained for their jobs and the always changing array of pastries.
It’s a perfect reminder of real metropolitan cities like New York and london in a place as drab like The Hague.
Be prepared to pay real New York prices too, because that kind of true hipster coffee look feel smell and taste comes with a price.
But some days, it’s worth it. ☕️☕️?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing coffee and excellent service. Nice vibe overall. The only minus being the lack of light in the toilet. While there is a changing booth, it is nearly impossible to change your baby's diaper due to the lack of light. It would be great if you could fix that.

The staff was very friendly and I let them recommend me something after indicating my preferences. The coffee was nice, but what really caught my eyes was their variety of bakery. My choice of the day was a strawberry and lime croissant which was such an experience by itself. Sweet, but also a bit sour due to the lime, with a soft consistency in the middle but also crunchy on the edges. Mouthwatering! Definitely recommending! The interior design is also very lovely and minimalistic and so is the choice of their plates and cups. A great place to start your day ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very tasty coffee and stunning interiors. There are several coffee beans available for espresso. Baristas describe the coffee beans available and are very helpful and welcoming.
Also, with a coffee you get a paper with the description of the beans!
The croissants are a bit on a drier side for my taste, but served with jam and mascarpone, balancing it out.
I will definitely come back when around!
