Veel vogels gespot.
Heerlijk gewandeld en gefotografeerd het laatste is zeer geliefd veel bezoekers met camera.
Auto kun je gratis parkeren en redelijk kwijt.
Het is een stilte gebied weinig van gemerkt hard pratende bezoekers.
Aantal uitkijkposten moeite waard.
Slippery road, so pay attention.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vanaf de wandel parkeerplaats "Spuimonding Oost" is direct toegang naar natuurgebied de Korendijkse Slikken en naar vogelgebied Spuimonding Oost.
Ongeveer 300m voorbij het klaphek is een vogelkijkhut van waaruit je uitzicht hebt over het beschermde vogelgebied Spuimonding Oost. Dit gebied is niet toegankelijk voor wandelaars.
Verder langs de dijk, bij de 2 Bosman windmolens, ligt een brug waarover je in de Korendijkse Slikken komt. Rechts aanhouden loopt langs het Spui naar de Kijkterp (uitzicht over de monding van het Spui in het Haringvliet, met picknicktafel), dan naar de hoefijzer vormige Kijkhut (uitzicht over de Slikken zelf) en verder weer naar de brug. Tussen de Kijkhut en de brug is een tweede route over de slikken, maar die kan afgesloten zijn als er veel vogels zijn (broed seizoen, maar ook overwinterende vogels).
Vanaf de molentjes kun je dezelfde weg terug, maar je kan ook rechts langs de brede sloot richting de dijk lopen.
Paden zijn goed te belopen, het zijn eigenlijk kleine dijkjes, ze kunnen modderig zijn. Geen laarzen nodig, je hoeft niet te waden. Er staan wegwijzers in het gebied, maar de route is eenvoudig. Totaal ongeveer 3,8km.
From the hiking parking lot "Spuimonding Oost" there is direct access to the nature reserve Korendijkse Slikken and to the bird area Spuimonding Oost.
About 300m past the swing gate is a bird watching hut from which you have a view over the protected bird area Spuimonding Oost. This area is not accessible to walkers.
Further along the dike, near the 2 Bosman windmills, is a bridge over which you enter the Korendijkse Slikken. Keep right and walk along the Spui to the Kijkterp (view over the mouth of the Spui in the Haringvliet, with picnic table), then to the horseshoe-shaped Kijkhut (view over the Slikken itself) and further back to the bridge. Between the Kijkhut and the bridge there is a second route across the mudflats, but it can be closed if there are many birds (breeding season, but also wintering birds).
From the windmills you can return the same way, but you can also walk right along the wide ditch towards the dike.
Paths are easy to walk, they are actually small dikes, they can be muddy. No need for boots, no need to wade. There are signposts in the area, but the route is easy. Total about 3.8 km.
