β β β β β We went to this restaurant today because it has good reviews. We ordered fries and fried meatballs (bitterballen) and some drink. The foods came around 30 mins later and the fries wasn't fresh, it has been refried! Some of it overcooked and got hard. We're quite disappointed. Not only its a bit expensive but it's bad. I wouldn't recommend this place for eating. For a drink, yes because they serve the drinks pretty quick and the location is quite good.

β β β β β Great menu selection with some vegetarian food options. Nice location and lots of drinks choices and friendly English speaking staff. Very nice quirky interior decor with comfy high backed chairs. The sandwiches were delicious! This place was busy at lunchtime which must be a good sign so we're glad we had booked a table. It would be great if they had soy milk or other non-dairy milk for the coffee though.

β β β β β Beautiful place for a great meal. Nice ambiance. Had a neat nautical theme to their decorations. We started with a delicious cheese soup. Really enjoyed the smoke salmon for lunch. The salmon was on toasted brown bread, with a delicious light white sauce, sprinkled with pea sprouts, chives, radishes, capers, peppers, pickled onions, and edible flowers - all topped off with onion rings. Chicken in peanut sauce was also part of our meal - which was very good. We would definitely recommend this restaurant if visiting Den Helder.
