Restaurant Luna werd geopend in 1990 door de Argentijn Carlos Luna. Het was het eerste Argentijnse restaurant op de Lindengracht in het hart van de Jordaan.
Deze gracht heeft een bohemien uitstraling. Het is nu een prachtige straat met oude bomen met in het midden stenen waar zich vroeger de gracht bevond.
Restaurant Luna heeft van het begin af aan een internationale en ‘rioplatense’ sfeer. Onder beheer van de Uruguayaan Oberdan, heeft het restaurant zijn eigen karakter behouden. Restaurant Luna is een opwindend trefpunt in het nachtleven van Amsterdam. Hier kunt u genieten van specialiteiten, waaronder het heerlijke rundvlees gerecht “parrillada”, waar het restaurant bekend door is geworden.
De sfeer is te omschrijven als intiem, gezellig en mysterieus wat onder andere wordt veroorzaakt door het magische interieur en de hartstochtelijke gitaarmuziek.
Om het te zeggen in de trant van één van de dichters van de nacht: ‘Restaurant Luna is een deel van de traditionele ziel van de Río de la Plata, die hierdoor nu ook een deel van het Amsterdamse stadsleven is geworden’.

I enjoyed the food and service in very levels.
Very nice people who give you the best vibe.
Food was amazing and wine selection was very nice.
High quality service, very nice appetizer and very nice and helpful servant who helps you with the menu and gives you warm and fuzzy feeling.
Lightning and music was very nice.
Reasonable price.
One of my best nights in Amsterdam and I will definitely go back there !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sides served with the meat was not eatable, the chips were processed (they looked white) and not home made, my wine had sediment inside (which the waitress exchanged following my request). On the top of that, it’s really noisy. I wouldn’t bring my partner here for a date. Also, they charged us for the bread we asked during our dinner. If you have high standards food wise, don’t go there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Restaurant luna gave us an awesome evening! They have wonderful food, the meat is really tender and they serve it with a really tasteful chimichurri sauce! The fries and vegetables are perfect. One of us has a gluten intolerance and the staff was really helpful explaining what we could and couldn’t eat! And they have allot of gluten-free options! Great ambiance and food with live music and very friendly staff!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great steaks and great service. Don't be surprised if, the owner, comes over and sits with you for awhile to chat. He's got great personality - lots of fun. We dine there every time we are in Amsterdam.
I have been coming here for 15 years now and can say that they have some of the best steaks in Amsterdam. Cooked to perfection with great sides. Now that they reopen after lockdown, it is become an absolute must!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's the best Argentinean restaurant in Amsterdam. I have the best experience with place and stuff, they were so kind, helpful and also generous with their service. We chose MILANESA A LA NAPOLITANA and PARRILLADA MIXTA and both of them were delicious. The tase was the best by far and portions are really big. French fries is average. But they have the fried Empanada with meat which I liked a lot. We also order PROVOLONE but it was a bit heavy, I do think like it that much about Italian cheese with this way. I choose FLAN CASERO as dessert and it is delicious!
In overall, it's a great experience for Argentinean cousine.
