Kei is great, sure his English makes communication more difficult sometimes, but he understands what works well with oriental face shape / hair type. Always happy with his work.

Friendly staff. I come here often and always leave satisfied with my hair. I often come to cut or dye my hair, if you show a picture they can get the result you want or suggest a more suitable hairstyle.

They really take the time to have you relax, with a head- and shoulder massage before getting into cutting your hair. They even have a massage chair at their washing station! It's a small salon, with only two chairs but it feels quite spacious. The atmosphere is nice, with relaxing jazzy music on the background. As the owner is Japanese, he has a lot of experience with Asian hair and you'll be in good hands. I can definitely recommend this salon if you want your experience to be a relaxing treat!

If you are a child in need of a simple haircut, then this is the place for you! For anyone else, you could better look somewhere else. The language barrier here is unreal. The staff don't speak any Dutch, which is fine, but their English is horrible! While making an appointment for my second visit (my 1st visit, I noticed the language barrier but for the quality of the work, I excused it then), I explained to the man on the phone multiple times that I have long, thick hair and that I need a lot of time. I even offered to come in person for a color consult but that was deemed unnecessary. My sister is getting married so as her bridesmaid, my hair needed to look classy for all those important pictures. So I wait my two weeks looking forward to my appointment. Upon arrival, I am informed that I only have a 2-hr slot. Well, shoot, okay. I show him pictures of what I want, never once did he say that it wasn't possible. He just started doing some stuff. While he was drying my hair, my suspicions started to arise that something was amiss, I ask him if we still had time to do the simple highlights I wanted. you know, from the array of pictures I showed him. He asks some follow-up questions that were not at all relevant to what I was asking but since I didn't hear a clear "no!" or "we need to make another appointment for that." I assumed it was all fine. But no, it was not. So while paying for this expensive joke of a job, I tried to express my disappointment to this man and explained how I, at several steps, kept checking in with him. He looks at me blankly and kept repeatedly saying sorry but it was clear that he wasn't actually listening and that he had no idea what he was even apologising for. Absolutely not worth the money, time or energy! There are enough hair salons in the Hague! Go to them!

If I'm not mistaken, they're the only Japanese hair salon in The Hague. Setting up an appointment is done best by phone as they don't take bookings on their website. You get your hair washed while getting a back massage courtesy of the chair. I like how they don't try to sell you their products in a pushy way or offer all sorts of treatments you don't probably need. They really take their time with your hair and like in Japan, give you free samples of hair products.

Kei-san is very professional. He has a very clean, fresh and detailed cutting style. Language is not barrier for me. We communicate in English and he gave me the exact cutting and blowdry style that I wanted. Miyabi is definitely the only salon in Den Haag that I will go to.

I got a beautiful haircut, full attention, plus a very relaxing experience. On top of it Kei is a very nice person to talk to ?. I was very impressed with his professionalism and time he devoted to my hair. ケイさん、ありがとうございました。

Kei at Miyabi Hair Salon is amazing! He listened carefully when I was explaining what kind of haircut I wanted and I felt like he really understood my hair type and what would work best for it. He was constantly checking the lengths, making sure everything looked good throughout the haircut, and was very professional. As a native English speaker from Canada, I can honestly say that there was no language barrier and that I had no problem communicating in English. Would definitely recommend this hair salon!
