Na 1574 kreeg de kerk verschillende bestemmingen, zowel wereldlijke als kerkelijke, maar werd in de twintigste eeuw definitief als kerk bestemd, thans van de Protestantse Kerk in Nederland. The church owes its name to the convent of the preachers (Dominicans) to which it was associated as a convention church until the 1574 alteration. After 1574 the church received various destinations, both secular and ecclesiastical, but was finally designated as a church in the twentieth century, nowadays from the Protestant Church in the Netherlands.

The community is also involved in artistic initiatives, periodically offering photo and art exhibitions. They also hold choir and organ concerts. The multi-church mid week service takes place here every first and third Wednesday at 12:45. Music is played by church musicians or other invitees during the lunch pause moment. The church is open to the public on Monumenten Dag and they offer interesting activities such as learning Gregorian chant techniques. Worth a visit even if only to admire the vaulted ceiling and the stained glass windows with the twelve apostles.
