Where it all began
The MOSCOT optical roots were first planted in America by Great Great Grandfather and family patriarch, Hyman Moscot, who arrived from Eastern Europe via Ellis Island in 1899. Hyman began selling ready-made eyeglasses from a pushcart on Orchard Street on Manhattan's famed Lower East Side.

A neighbourhood that perfectly matches the heritage and elegancy of the brand. Despite the small size of the shop, you will find everything you need about glasses. Purchased a set of new reading glasses here and had a far more extensive eye test than at Ace & Tate including a glaucoma test. Service was impeccable. Yes, you'll end up paying more but the quality is visibly superior.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came for either a Nebb or a Telena optical frame, however I left with a Lemtosh in Black Crystal... Ah such is the way of the Lemtosh. Just when you least expect it the Lemtosh grabs you with its timeless design and overall good looks. So now this is my fourth Lemtosh... Your local optician may have Moscot frames too but right here they've got the motherload. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lovely shop and a great addition to the neighborhood. Well worth a visit.
