It's the only glass museum here in the Netherlands and has a vast collection of different pieces of art by Dutch, French and Belgian designers. Most of the collection is based on pieces that have been made by the people in Leerdam themselves. The exposition is a little under development right now, so we got a discount on our tickets which was really nice. It was super interesting and I would love to go again some time.

You can experience the actual making of a glass object (of art), or simply see the development of high end glass ware through slightly modern times. While walking along the river going from the museum to the glass workshop, you will pass the modern glass factory Royal Leerdam and see in the little harbor next to it how actually few resources they need to make glassware.
