β β β β β Wat een slechte bestaan dit: Welke bieb sluit nou eerder dan een school? Antwoord: Amsterdamse bibliotheken. Ik mag mij erop verheugen dat ik uit amsterdam ga en met gratis wifi wiskunde ga bestuderen tot 22 uur!!

β β β β β Het is fijn om een filiaal van de OBA in de buurt te hebben, ook al is het een kleintje. Er zijn maar weinig werkplekken en de collectie is beperkt. Het merendeel van de bibliotheek bestaat uit kinderboeken. Je moet bijna altijd een boek laten overkomen van andere OBA-locaties. Maar in mijn beleving werkt dat reserveringssysteem perfect. De boeken staan klaar, op naam, en je kunt ze eenvoudig zelfstandig lenen met de zelfscanner. De medewerkers zijn altijd bereid om te helpen als dat nodig is.
It's nice to have a branch of the OBA nearby, even if it's a small one. There are few workplaces and the collection is limited. Most of the library consists of children's books. You almost always have to get a book from other OBA locations. But in my experience, that reservation system works perfectly. The books are available by name and you can easily borrow them independently with the self-scanner. The employees are always ready to help if needed.

β β β β β Kleine schattige bieb. Veel boeken voor kinderen. Volwassen afdeling is iets minder. Lekker koel binnen. Je hebt ook tafels waar je aan kunt studeren en werken. Toiletten zijn hygiΓ«nisch en makkelijk toegankelijk. Er is gratis WiFi voor leden en niet-leden.
Mooie omgeving. Veel restaurants en lunchrooms in de nabijheid.
Little cute library. Lots of books for children. Adult ward is slightly less. Nice and cool inside. You also have tables where you can study and work. Toilets are hygienic and easily accessible. Free WiFi is available for members and non-members.
Beautiful surroundings. Many restaurants and lunchrooms in the vicinity.

β β β β β Very disappointing for me as a newcomer to the area. Not one book in English to borrow. No information about community services. Library ticket is expensive.

β β β β β More of a daycare than a library. Most kids are pretty cool and talking quietly, but when I visited there were squicking teens giigling and eating chips loudly and no employee bat an eyelash... Maybe it was due to it beeing sunday idk. Will try again on a working day and update.
