★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rubbish. Was signed up under false pretences, people not unfriendly but entirely unhelpful when trying to rectify the mistake made by the initial contact. Ended up paying a years worth of premiums for absolutely nothing and more or less wasn't insured for anything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So far they have always paid me according the polis .Their service got even better over the last few years though I still think they can make some improvements how come OOm hasn't got an emergency first aid App ? If Im unconscious and laying on the road with no friends or family members who is going to help me ?You will not get a decent treatment if the hospital is not sure you are going to pay them !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst insurance company. They sign a contract with you, in all their conversations they nicely convince you that they will pay for everything and then they send you the bill. You face them with the contract that they made, still they come up with false excuses and then charge you. Want it or not, they'll make you pay. Better do a treatment at home for myself then get insured with these ones.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I regularly use Oom to insure foreign visitors (family, friends from Brazil mostly) that come to see us in the Netherlands. I have always enjoyed the ease and speed to book it and the relative low costs. But of course what really counts is how an insurance treats you when needed. We have now also experienced that when my mother in law felt so seriously ill during the flight from Brazil via Rome that her plane needed to divert to leave her in a hospital in Germany. She there spent more than a week on the intensive care but luckily fully recovered. The service, easy of interaction and follow up, the constant contact from Oom with the doctors there and the information feed back to my worried wife was in one word amazing. We are super satisfied, very gratefull and are happy to recommend this where possible! THANK YOU!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I want to share my experience which is partly my fault. Either way, I ended up paying 1061.80 euros for my husband and I to be covered on our vacation to Bonaire in May (9 days) and his travel to the US in June for a week (I broke that coverage off once I realized what was going on). We're both in good health; 54 and 68 years old. I thought it would be good to have extra coverage for trips outside the (continental) Netherlands during the pandemic. Somehow in all the plentiful communication from OOM, it was not clear that the policy cost nearly 10,000 euros per year. You MUST READ EVERYTHING IN ADVANCE QUITE THOROUGHLY. If there was an app that allowed 'turn-on, turn-off' activation of the policy so that you could activate it the moment the plane leaves the ground and turn it off when it lands, it might be handy. But as is, this service is really something more for people who are moving abroad somewhere where they may need to be repatriated rather than cared for on site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Twice now we had to cancel an insurance, policy once due to corona and once due to sickness. Both times OOM was responsive and gave us a full restitution. Due to this we already requested a new coverage policy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ worst insurance company i have ever dealt with. it took them 2 weeks to respond to a query of mine and it took them 2 months to process a claim only to deny it for insignificant reasons.
