★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In September of 2019, I was feeling very tired and wanted to do something different when it came to sport. I played squash and did a lot of fitness. My work was exhausting and I didn't understand why I was tired. I was very hesitant about kick boxing and thought it was a violent sport. I thought why not give it a try. After my first day I realised that I was feeling much better and started learning how to defend myself. Roy is an experienced trainer and takes the time to help you grow and stay calm when in situations of danger. If you are looking for personal growth, Pendekar is the place. I recommend it highly.

Pendekar is a real muay thai old school gym, Skilled teacher with a lot of experience in muay thai technique and fighting experience on the ring.
Good team spirit And fairplay, you can train and learn with a lot of fighters and pro fighters.
Absolutely reccomend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started at Pendekar about two months ago. Roy is an experienced teacher who will get the best out of you and will try to teach you all aspects of kickboxing. It may not be fun and games at all times, but as the saying goes, if it were easy, anybody would do it! Highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started learning Muay Thai with my friend here since March 2021. Roy is a fantastic coach with lots of previous experience training professional fighters. Even if you're a beginner like me, there are more basic classes taught by the same coach that teaches you fundamental techniques of the martial art. Now that covid regulations are more relaxed, all the classes take place inside. The gym is well-equipped and cleaned properly everyday. They also have gym equipment, weights, bars if you are more into the fitness aspect. Overall, if you want to take up a martial art like Muay Thai with a coach that really knows what he is doing, Pendekar is excellent.

If you actually want to know what you're doing instead of just punching around in your average high testosterone fightclub, Pendekar is it! anyone looking to learn anything from beginnings to way deep into the fine mechanics of muay thai and kickboxing, whether it's recreational or professional, Kru (recognized master) Roy and his lovely wife Praw offer everything you wish for. A tough, but very welcoming place, both attentive to your progression as much as keeping everyone from walking away with injuries. Plus..., Roy's metaphorical explanations are just priceless :):):)!
