PsyQ - Psychologist Leiden - Vondellaan 55

Ze houden mij al een half jaar aan het lijntje en maken afspraken die ze niet nakomen. Om (nog) gek(ker) van te worden!

Helaas geen goede ervaring. Veel miscommunicatie binnen organisatie en fouten bij het maken van afspraken. Wel fijne behandelaar (kort gehad), maar voelde weinig betrokkenheid toen ik vergeten werd door behandelaar en daarnaast uiteindelijk het gevoel dat er niets echt is bereikt of opgelost wat betreft mijn problemen. Tegenvaller was dat ik in mijn laatste feedback iets heb opgeschreven over een vervelende ervaring binnen de organisatie en hoopte dat zij hierover nog contact op zouden nemen, maar is niet gebeurd.

Rare mensen daar had is zo een psychiater jammer dat ik der naam niet meer weet hoorde ik er zeggen van ohhh hij is er toch niet volgens mij hebben ze zelf een psychiater nodig daar kwam die jonge die daar werkte naar beneden en zei die hij is er. Ook als je daar in gesprek was ze maken je alleen maar gek heb echt nog nooit zoiets debiels meegemaakt gaat ze je 10minuten aankijken zonder wat te zeggen XDXD

I have been living in Leiden for 8 months so far and have yet to receive any help from this center even though I was referred here 6 months ago. They claim they specialize in services unique to expats, yet they didn't even give me a psychiatrist who speaks English, let alone provide any other services that were helpful to me. I've been emailing and calling them daily for the past week asking for help because my anxiety has gone completely untreated and no one here will help me. I can't even get in touch with my service coordinator who's supposed to be in charge of things like this because I was never given instructions on how to do that. Their services are abysmal, uncaring, and I am just hoping now that my GP can refer me elsewhere so I can finally get the help I need. Update: been living here for a year now. Still haven't gotten any help from PsyQ. All the psychiatrists say they'll think about how best to treat me and get back to me and then I never hear from them again. That's a year with absolutely no treatment of any kind. Only go here if you want your mental health to get much, much worse.

The people at this facility are nice, but being solely kind is not enough to resolve mental health issues. As the other comments have said, they take way too long to get back to you, and even when they do there is a mistake in administrative matters which delays your treatment further. I also did not feel heard by the professionals at this clinic. I came in to get help for my panic attacks and told them I believe my panic is not from a specific event, but rather just my general anxiety hyper focusing on certain aspects to induce a panic attack. The professionals told me they would rather focus on a specific event (that made me fearful at THAT point in time) anyway and we went ahead with the treatment. As I expected, I began to find other causes for my panic attacks (and another and another and so on...). The treatment was also rather intense and did not accomplish much as the person treating me was going to work at another place and I could not properly rehabilitate and ensure that I would not need more help. She did tell me that if the panic returns I should contact the clinic once again and schedule another appointment. I was a bit hesitant to do so because I remembered the extremely inefficient administrative process, but I decided to contact them anyway to set up a new appointment because I was feeling quite desperate. But as I (unfortunately) anticipated, I never got a response from them. All in all, do not go here please. I have never had worse panic attacks in my life than I do after receiving treatment at this facility. If your GP refers you to this place, refuse it and demand another referral because this was a complete waste of time and undoing all the progress I have done with my mental health.
