Rooms were pretty basic but that's what you pay for. Stairs are practically vertical so be aware of you have mobility issues. Location was good, near flower markets. On the first day there was luggage storage...on my last day I was point blank told no such thing existed?? Weird and inconvenient since I had to check out at 11am and my fight was at 7pm. Knocked off a star for that.

Pros: - Perfect Location. 30 min. or less walk to anything you need to get to. - Room looked very nice. - Bathroom looked very modern and nice. Cons: - This wasn't an issue for me (31y/o) or my wife (30y/o), but the staircase to the rooms is definitely something people need to be aware of. the elderly, people with mobility issues and anyone with big luggage will have a very difficult time making it up and down the very narrow, very steep, winding staircase. - The floor and small carpet in the room wasn't cleaned prior to our arrival. there was dust and dirt everywhere, especially under the bed (nobody had cleaned under there for a very long time, it scared me when I looked) - For the price, breakfast should be included, It is Not. - The Hotel markets itself as a hotel, but its really more of a nicer hostel with private rooms. - the front desk is not 24hrs, and does not even have the basics of a first aid kit. (my wife was run over by a bicycle and when I requested an ice pack they informed me they did not have an ice machine anywhere, nor an ice pack in the first aid kit). The woman at the front desk was very nice and did her best, but she was not provided with the basic tools that any other Hotel would have. - normally when you are at a Hotel when you want the towels changed you leave them on the floor and housekeeping removes them and replaces them with clean towels. well, here they do it a bit differently. they just take those towels on the floor and don't replace them with anything, so now me and my wife had to share 1 small towel for the 2 of us the next morning. (they fixed the situation immediately when I spoke to the front desk the next morning, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place) - also normally when housekeeping comes in to clean the room, they check to see if you have any toilet paper. we were almost out of the one roll that was provided and they didn't leave us another one when they cleaned the room. so, we ran out of toilet paper (also, this situation was fixed immediately when I alerted the front desk in the morning), however because we arrived home late at night and the front desk was closed we had to make do with makeshift toilet paper until the next morning. - we stayed 6 nights, not once were our bedsheets or pillow cases changed. they just put the comforter back on the bed, tuck it in and thats it. - They advertise bike rental services, but its really just a 5% coupon they give you to a rental place somewhere nearby. (we didn't look any further into it) -The pictures of the room are very deceiving. - right in the middle of the all shots of the room, they put a picture of the front desk with a kitchen area in it. We thought the rooms came with a kitchen area because of this sneaky marketing ploy. very deceiving marketing stunt.

The hotel location is perfect, staff are super friendly and welcoming. Only issue is the cleanliness of the rooms is not that great. Even after the cleaners come clean, the amount of dust, dirt and rubbish under the beds and shockingly even on the night stands next to the bed is scary. This can cause serious health issues as you are breathing all that while asleep. The stairs are another issue but that's something common in all Amsterdam as the buildings are old.

They scamed us. moldy fridge. non-existent reception which closes at 5 p.m. cleaning not done. toilet room. bedroom in the basement. no wifi or networks in the basement in the bedroom. the walls are full of cobwebs and really hallowed. I have no responses to my emails and calls for complaints and reservations either.

Great location, very friendly staff, room looked recently decorated to a high standard Only downside was the stairs, very steep narrow spiralling stairs of which there was 3 flights of, very difficult after a few pints ? Would definitely stay here again

What do you expect - it's small and tight, but it's modern, clean and SUPER central. Not for family holidays but perfect for a short party or business trip

This hotel is in a great location. Everything is within walking distance. The room was a good size compared to other rooms. I stayed in the room on the top floor with the private bath. Overall it was nice and I only have 2 complaints and one of them is out of their control. 1.) The stairs are really steep. If you have bad knees or any medical condition that limit mobility I would highly recommend you book somewhere else. Carrying luggage up the stairs was almost impossible. 2.) The bathroom needed attention. It smelled like mildew and the shower head was hanging by a thread. It also didn't have a shower curtain or door so my showers had to be quick to prevent water from flowing into the room.
