Pretty much the most charming place I stayed during my time in Amsterdam. No frills in the rooms but you can’t beat the price or the location. Very friendly staff! Oh, and the old-school wooden bar is classy and terrific!

The staff was very kind, the position is perfect, only the hygiene could be improved. For the rest, it was a lovely stay for a relatively cheap price!

IΒ΄m very dissapointted with this hotel, they do not undertand that we are in the middle of a world pandemic. I had a booking with them, but I could not go because of COVID, I sent many emails to them because I did not want to lose my money, they did not reply. After several days they said they are not allow to change dates... I think its horrible. Nowadays everyone undertand covid situation, this hotel no, covid didnt affect them... I do not recommend this hotel at all. Do not waste your money, they do not deserve it.

Place looked nice and we were looking forward to staying there. Booked through booking.com and even though I knew there was no cancellation policy we booked anyway...... Covid Restrictions were then introduced in Amsterdam so I asked could we postpone..... Hotel would be not allow it.... OK fair enough I thought, everything is open until 5 we can still make a holiday of it. Then when further restrictions were introduced it simply wasn't worth going so I asked again could I postpone the and this time my mail was ignored so they could run down the clock and let us be a 'no show' so that was a little disappointing. I didn't get to stay in the hotel but was disappointed there was no kindness in allowing us to postpone our stay due to covid We should all stick together in these hard times. Unfortunately this hotel was happy to take my approx €500 which was already paid for and wouldn't allow us to postpone. Yes I understand no cancellation was allowed as per booking but I wanted to postpone because of the a worldwide pandemic and come when it was safe. I wasn't messing the hotel about and trying to cancel..... I just wanted to postpone and my request was ignored

We had a very bad experience. Definitely don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Our room was unhabitable. It was full of dead spiders, spider webs, traces of bedbugs and blood on the walls. We couldn’t stay there and asked for our money back, because a room like that is a risk for our health. The hotel did not give our money back, they were super rude and did not care at all. Just unbelievably bad customer service. How can they think someone would stay there, just jaw-dropping?! After leaving we found out that one of our acquaintance has stayed in the same hotel and gotten bedbugs. Thank god we did not stay there and so shouldn’t you either!!

The price was good for Amsterdam and all of the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Our room was on the top floor (no elevator, and steep Dutch stairs!). The hotel had thin walls so you could hear your neighbors, and the bathroom is wet-room style with no ventilation. Our room was too cold, with no way to turn up the heat, but the woman at the front desk brought us an extra duvet. No toiletries were provided besides a hand soap dispenser. The room likely had mould as there was no bathroom vent, lots of condensation on the windows, and I was sneezing the whole time we were in the room. The location was great, a few minutes walk to Waterlooplein.
