Wij zijn Buurten; het gezelligste buurtrestaurant van Utrecht. Bij ons kun je de hele dag terecht: van een vroege kop koffie tot een zakenlunch of een snelle hap met het gezin.
Buurten is een huiskamer voor jong en oud. Vertrouwde gezichten heten je iedere dag welkom. Schuif aan en geniet van onze eigentijdse en tijdloze gerechten en dranken. Ook als je van ver komt, kun je Buurten, want onze vestigingen zijn zowel met het OV als met eigen vervoer goed bereikbaar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2nd time visiting. First time was pleasant, however I only had a coffee. 2nd time was not a success. Appetizer took 1 hour to receive, I had the bread with dip. I can only describe the bread as reheated and the dips consisted of a (tasty) Aioli and olive oil. I would suggest adding a little dish of salt and/or another sauce.
I had the English Burger as a main. The cheddar was a square, not a sharp English cheddar but more of a mass produced block cheddar. The bun was bought like next door at the supermarket, the onion rings too large. The only things tasty were the bacon and the patty itself. I had also asked to not have picalilly on the burger as in my opinion it would overtake the flavour. I am still not sure whether adding cheddar and picallily make an English burger.
All in all I didn't have a pleasant experience and personally would not recommend it for the the food. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the drinks are top notch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a niceplace to hang out and have a drink. The food however is not very consistent in its quality. Sometimes they really surprise me with a very good dish, yet sometimes the menu items do not live up to their descriptions. Children are very welcome here, to some that is a great plus, but to others this may be a real showstopper.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very kid-friendly place, with a little playhouse outside and a room with toys inside. We stopped there for coffee and cake, and hot chocolate for kids. All was great. We liked the cherry pie and the cheesecake (but not so much the apple-and-pecan pie).
