★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place with friendly, smiling and helpful staff...The food was amazing!!! My salmon was correctly cooked and juicy,the risoto with asparagus and mushrooms well cooked and creamy as it needs to be,the salad with smoked chicken also delicious... A very good point is that they have the menu also in English ...For my dessert the waitress recommended me to order the caramelised banana and she was completely right like she was in my mind...I tasted It and it was lekkerrrr....I really enjoyed my dinner there...I will come again and again..thank you for your services...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sharing platter.... the food was okay to start with but soon went down hill. The spare ribs was overcooked and dry (I suspect microwave). The Apple crumble tasted as though someone had forgotten to put sugar in the crumble topping. We booked in advance but when we got there they had no record of us booking. Most of the waitresses looked as though they were there just to make up the numbers. We was seated upstairs and felt like we was put there because we didn't have a reservation even though we had booked. It was cold and draughty and because of the don't give a toss attitude of the waitress it wasn't even investigated when I mention it, the place is crying out for a restaurant manager. BTW I know what I'm talking about as I've been in the catering trade for over 20 years. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was absolutely delicious (special mention to the Black Angus Burger which totally rocks; I even ordered it again when I came for the second time), and the team is really nice, professional and responsive. The owner is probably the nicest guy ever and made us a very cool and warm welcome. Many thanks again for everything you did during the SMK WK 2019 !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had lunch today in this restaurant. Great!!! I don't think I left anything on my plate. As you can see on the pictures, the inside of the restaurant looks amazing. The service was excellent. They only thing I did not like was the location of the restrooms. You had to climb up a pretty big stair. A not done for me, having trouble with walking. But that's the only thing and perhaps I overlooked a downstairs restroom??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their terrace is located at the old 'Carlas' location ? in the newly built part of Alphen aan de Rijn, it could not have turned out better ☀. Prices are not too expensive and the people working are doing great job when it's really busy. New favourite place in Alphen? ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although De Beren is a chain, the owner managed to make this something special. For starters the large beer selection, the nice building, the very kid staff and foremost the well prepared food. Loved it and celebrated a great birthday.
