β β β β β Have been here twice, and the service is painfully slow, and often inaccurate. If you're from out of town, it's an interesting opportunity to try a uniquely Dutch savory pancake, but this place specifically is not a favorite.

β β β β β Mixed feelings - great or below expectations!
We've visited de Turfhoeve multiple times for a company dinner and we gladly come back, their pea soup is a classic, ribs are great, steaks are also just fine, service is also professional and courteous. So in all of those cases I would go with 4 stars here. The one certain downside being that it usually takes quite some time from order to prepare the meals, half an hour is not a suprise, but if you get a starter before then you're good.
Recently though, we've visited this joint during lunch time, there is even a special lunch menu with mostly sandwiches, a burger, a little salad at more affordable prices then rest of the menu. Still, we had to wait around 45 minutes for a lunch order, that's really disappointing. Some of the group were really dissatisfied with the burgers received... I was really happy with my BLTC sandwich though!

β β β β β Had a tasty and wonderful lunch here, both for the adults and the kids. The lovely staff provided crayons and papper which made our two hungry children sit silently in deep concentration while we waited for the food.

β β β β β Good quality food, large enough portions and friendly staff. There is a kids menu, and a small outdoor playground nearby. We used it as a highway stop and were pleased with the quality menu rather than the fried stuff variety. Recommended stop for food loving travellers. I would be a patron if I lived nearby.

β β β β β Nice place with tasty food. Unfortunately kids meal is a let down because it's far too low standard in comparison to adult meal. Main menu dishes are cooked to a high restaurant standard. Kids food is cooked from frozen. Very good coffee with little brownie addition.
