About Restaurant Moeders
Ons verhaal
Ooit was in het pand op de Rozengracht een dansschool gevestigd. De grote 50er jaren neonlamp aan het plafond en de houten vloer zijn hier nog de stille getuigen van. Sinds 1990 is Moeders er gehuisvest. Eigenaar Jurriaan vroeg bij de opening aan zijn gasten om een bord, glas en bestek mee te nemen. Daarmee was een belangrijk element van het Moeders concept geboren. Tegelijkertijd werd er gestart met het verzamelen van foto's van moeders. Tot op de dag van vandaag worden de houten tafels bij Moeders met vintage serviesgoed gedekt en prijken er aan Moeders' wanden inmiddels honderden foto's van moeders. Moeders is voor gasten en passanten dan vaak ook een echte bezienswaardigheid! De laatste jaren komen er nog wekelijks kiekjes bij. En al wordt de ruimte aan de wanden schaars …foto’s blijven welkom!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s hard not to love this place. Friendly and welcoming staff. Photos of loved mothers all over the walls. Fantastic and comforting food. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. We were there during the winter and it was the perfect place to warm up and have food that not only fills your belly, but also your soul. Can’t wait to go back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A traditional dutch restaurant with incredible service and incredible food. We did not have a reservation and walked in to the restaurant and were able to get a table.
We ordered the hachee and veggie curry and both were extremely delicious.
I also have to add the restaurant was beautiful. I loved all the photos and it really bought out a feel good vibe

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic experience in this place entirely dedicated to mothers, many original photos of moms exposed from all eras create a truly touching atmosphere. The food was exquisite; It was a beautiful journey into Dutch culture, very special the fact that each person had a different set of cutlery, plates, glasses… I will definitely be back to try other delicacies✨.
