★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just had experienced a very bad customer service in the Netherlands. The waitress acted as if she was really upset by my question instantly.
I only asked the question if one of the tables is free (as I saw at least four tables were free at that time) and maybe we could squeeze before other people come in for their reservations. But before I even asked, she kinda scared me away with her almost yelling tune and terrible attitude by flapping the agenda and throwing it on the table : this is my agenda, only for me blah blah blah...
Then I said why you acted as if you are angry at me or sth? Dat is niet goed!!!
Never again, maybe the food is good, but the service is one of the most unwelcoming ones I have ever experienced in the Netherlands.(oh, sorry, actually it should be the world* instead of only Netherlands, as I have lived in Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore etc.) The treatment of customers should not depend if you have a reservation or not. If not, try to avoid this place unless you want to ruin your lovely Saturday evening dinner with your family.
Restaurant "O", you really don't know how to spell *custom service*!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent restaurant in a beautiful old street in Maastricht. Michelin should award it one star! We are a turbot for 4 persons. Beautiful wine list and great house champagne. Service outstanding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We sat outside yesterday and had a lovely evening. The 5-course surprise meal consisted of fruits de mer, classical tuna tartar, grilled squid with orange and union compote, bakked haddock (the star of the evening!) and an ananas with coconut sorbet dessert. All very well prepared and served with nice details. This is a fish-restaurant though, few veggies or carbs. But given the friendly and attentive service, I guess you can ask. The few questions we had, were all met with a positive " off course".
The price of the menu is very reasonable. Your bill will, as usual with this level of detail and attention, be more dependent on the glasses you drink! The three of us had two bottles of a very nice Bourgogne Blanc Aligoté, 35€ twice. And that was not all we drank ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice restaurant, good service, nice ambient. However I have been underwhelmed by all but a couple dishes: oysters were great, tuna tartare was quite good. Everything else was well prepared but quite ordinary. Not a bad restaurant, but I would not suggest it.
