★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh man, the most amazing place. The atmosphere, the service and last but not least the food… I loved how Rijsel makes you feel like you’re in a fancy Parisian restaurant, yet the vibe is still so relaxed and inviting. Five stars will definitely come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful restaurant in the East of Amsterdam. Located in a old school, the restaurant has been designed to keep the same atmosphere and give you the feeling to be still in a school.
The staff is friendly, nice and professional.
The restaurant offers a small selection of food that you can pick to build up a three, four or five course menu. Each dish is delicious.
They also have a huge wine list.
The restaurant is not cheap but also not overpriced.
I really suggest a visit to Rijsel!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is proper! Very simple and classic dishes from quality produce made to perfection. Waiting staff very friendly and attentive (which is not that common in Amsterdam)
Elaborate winelist
And for those with allergies: they even redo your menu so you don’t have to wonder which dish is good for you! How client friendly is that!
Just go and visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best characteristic of this restaurant is the service. Other restaurants in Amsterdam should learn how EASY is to have casual but good service. It’s not rocket science. I would come back here because of the fact that the service was much better than average in Amsterdam.
Regarding food... they serve quite good food. It’s not mind blowing but definitely above Amsterdam average also.
Interior is quite nice (kind of a big school room with high ceilings), tables are too close though. For us the biggest issue was the noise, it becomes a very noisy space.
Worth a visit.
