★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This defensive line close to Arnhem, was build after the war to defend water locks, these locks would be used to get enough water in the river IJssel the locks could be dammed by the Rhine barges that were sunk into the riverbed, by lowering steel walls in the passage. By doing this a strip of land from Kampen to Nijmegen (5 km wide) will be flooded . The Sherman turrets are here to defend this location. This is one of these Sherman turret.
