★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice small town. Worth to visit. Go to beach in summer and take a swim in Ijselmeer. You can go to many cafes, restaurants or have a kibbeling and watch the harbour life.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is fun to go to this place, it has a lot of history and the 'Elfstedentocht' comes by this place. 'Elfstedentocht' is a Dutch tradition, if the ice is thick enough skaters go past eleven city's for a medal. This statue has a lot of history, when you're done looking at the statue there are some fine restaurants with great views!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The myth of the lady of Stavoren is a classical tale of how hubris will lead to a fall. The associated statue is rather mediocre in the otherwise pleasant harbour of the ancient Frisian city. Coincidentally. the restaurant with the same name nearby is pretty mediocre as well.
