β β β β β First contact with Stena Line and I am very satisfied. Best prices for travel from Netherlands to UK (and back). Very cheap cabin - at travel at day you can reserve and pay for a cabin only for one person. You get a cabin with two beds and sofa and bedding for two peoples :) Free WIFI at restaurant deck (slowly but working).

β β β β β What a lovely and comfortable trip. Well worth to prepay lunch or dinnes as it is in a nice restaurant. Food was delicious and the ferry was very spacious

β β β β β Had a 2 birth cabin and its awesome. Sat tv with 30 channels. Kids tv. Sports. Itv. BBC. Free complimentary drinks in fridge. Tea and coffee with kettle. Comfy beds. Well worth the money.
Food on board really great. Lots of choice. Bars. Cafe. Inernet lounge tv room. Cinema.
Our crossing was moderate and did make some people feel a bit woosy but back of the ship outside has stable sections that dont feel the bump so much.
Better than the channel tunnel as quicker and better in every way and less hassle.

β β β β β Missed the first ferry, transferred onto the night one with minimal cost. Staff was very friendly. Slight issue with one meal with the chicken being very pink. Swapped over with no cost to a different meal. I do feel though that meals are very expensive on board for what you get. Room was good and clean. Towels we always find are on the small side but get the job done. Beds are good for a boat. Overall a pleasant trip.

β β β β β First time in a couple of years (wonder why), smooth sailing on the way over but unfortunately fell short on the trip back to NL. Soft drinks tasted (and looked) watered down and with what was close to a full ferry, only 2 out of 4 passport control stations open. Not only that but very slow moving. 1 hour to process the 10 cars in front of us, dread to think how long those at the back had to wait to get through. Attention needed to get back on track

β β β β β Not much going on in terms of entertainment on the Stena Britannica, so better take a good book or two with, or cram your phone or tablet full with films and series to watch offline on Netflix. The WiFi on board didn't work for me at all.
I booked a three course dinner voucher for 15 euros, and that was reasonable value for money. Unlike pretty much everything else on board, for which you basically paid airport prices. So you may want to save yourself some money by taking some food and drinks with you.
On the way back, I had the night ferry, for which you need to book a hut. It's not quite the Hilton, but the bed is comfortable enough for the (somewhat short) night. You have no internet reception whatsoever in the huts though, but I suppose that means 1 distraction less when trying to sleep. ?
