About Taco Mundo Amsterdam-Noord
Plastic? Nee bedankt!
Al jaren kon je bij je bestelling een besteksetje bestellen. Helaas was dit van plastic en wij vinden dat Taco Mundo als organisatie het gebruik hiervan moeten minimaliseren. Om die reden hebben we ervoor gekozen om duurzaam bestek te ontwikkelen. Ons nieuwe bestek is gemaakt van hout en wordt in een papieren verpakking geleverd. Het hout en papier dat we hiervoor gebruiken komt uit FSC-gemonitorde bossen. Ook al is bestek maar een klein onderdeel, wij vinden dat elke stap richting een verbetering van onze wereld een belangrijke is.
Taco Mundo focust zich op bezorging, het staat ook in ons logo: Mexican Delivery. Wij bezorgen in 99% van de gevallen bij mensen thuis, dus de kans is erg groot dat je je eigen bestek gebruikt. Dit sporen wij ook enorm aan! In geval je geen bestek tot je beschikking hebt kun je voor slechts € 0,25 ons duurzame bestek toevoegen aan je winkelmandje.
Elektrisch rijden
Niet alleen onze verpakkingen en bestek zijn door de jaren heen een stuk duurzamer geworden. We hebben namelijk ook grote stappen gemaakt met het verduurzamen van onze voertuigen.
Zo proberen wij in alle steden zoveel mogelijk met E-bikes en elektrische scooters de bestellingen rond te brengen. Op dit moment zetten ongeveer 75% van onze winkels alleen nog maar elektrische voertuigen in voor de bezorging. Wij streven ernaar om op korte termijn enkel met elektrische voertuigen te bezorgen.
Ondanks dat al onze verpakkingen recyclebaar zijn we druk met het invoeren van alternatieven voor de verpakkingen die nog plastic bevatten. Op deze manier dragen wij ons steentje bij aan een duurzamere wereld.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friends and I ordered food to be delivered to our hotel and we sat outside for 2 hours. Nothing ever showed up even though money was taken out of my account. On the website it says that deliveries should take around 40 minutes and if there was a problem they would contact us but we heard nothing from them. We tried to call over and over again but it kept saying that the number was unavailable! We went to bed without dinner ),:

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The delivery service was horrible, we had to wait 45 minutes to get our good and even then HALF of our order was missing. We had to call several times before they delivered all, they always told us to wait because they were "very busy and they were gonna make it again so that it would still be warm". We had to wait 2h30 before we got the rest of our food!
I think this is their way of scamming people out of their money, since they use a paying phone line and calling them cost you a lot of money, which they put in their own pocket. And letting you wait longer, so you will have to call several times, before they finally deliver it.
What normally would have meen a 8euro meal for me turned out to be 38 euros.
If I could I would have given this a 0 star review.
I DO NOT recommend this restaurant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the food and the service. However i do have an issue with the food. It's delicious but in recent visits we've been really really dissatisfied with the portions. I don't expect to receive what is in the picture on the menus however I do expect more than have my bowl to be full. I would like to keep eating here and the people and food are good. I would just like the food to be at least close to what is being advertised. Alter your advertising or hold up the standards.

Got the churros with vanilla sauce. They were very yummy. Crunchy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. They are quite small pieces, but tasty.
Would have been 5* but there was no cinnamon sugar on most of my churros, and they definitely need the cinnamon sugar to be the tastiest ???
Will for sure order again, and hope they are a bit more generous next time.
