Zo heeft tapas ook eerst een heel ander doel gediend. Het woord ‘tapa’ is afgeleid van het Spaanse werkwoord ‘tapar’ en betekent bedekken.
De kruidige hapjes die op kleine schoteltjes werden geserveerd, waren oorspronkelijk bedoeld om een glas sherry, wijn of bier af te dekken. Een mooie bijkomstigheid: zo werd ook voorkomen dat kleine beestjes in het glas terecht zouden komen.
Gelukkig hoeft dat vandaag de dag niet meer en kunt u gewoon genieten van een ‘limon’ in uw glas, náást een bordje tapas.

In addition very high prices and very small portions. As cherry on the pie It was cloudy when we went there, we were eating outside under the curtain and the waitress opened it when It started raining. As a result the rain was in all our plates and we also had to run inside to not get completely wet. Terribile place and personell.
