Just 2 Suites
We offer you the choice of two spacious (55 m2) suites: B&B the Business Class Way, in a monumental 18th century canal house in the historic city centre of Amsterdam: the Captain’s Suite and the the Cook’s Suite
Getting out of bed won’t be easy with king-sized bed’s and comfortable bedlinen. Marble bathroom’s, with steam room and shower, 100% cotton over-sized towels complete the pampering experience.
Both suites have a sitting area with open fire place, a pantry with espresso machine and mini bar. On the technical side there is a large flat screen TV, CD and DVD player with a wide selection of movies.
A la carte breakfast menu
You can select your breakfast preferences from our menu. Breakfast is brought to your suite in the morning, at the time that is convenient for you.
Central and safe Location
You will enjoy our convenient location in the centre of Amsterdam close to public transport and freeway access, yet in a quiet and green neighborhood. Shopping and dining is just steps away. Flying Pancake Rates all-inclusive
Daily rate between € 130,- and € 155,- per suite. Rates include all taxes and à la carte breakfast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tolles B&B im Zentrum von Amsterdam. Wer halbwegs fit ist kann alle Attraktionen in Amsterdam zu Fuß erreichen. Wer nicht möchte kann auch die nahe U-Bahn bzw. Straßenbahn benutzen. Die Gastgeberin Claudia hat uns sehr nett empfangen. Im B&B gibt es zwei Zimmer. Wir hatten die Cook´s Suite. Die Kritik bezieht sich auf dieses Zimmer. Täglich wird das Frühstück (kann man am Vortag aus einer Liste auswählen) vor die Tür gestellt. Kaffee/Tee können jederzeit im Zimmer selbst gemacht werden. Kühlschrank ist auch vorhanden.
 Great B & B in the center of Amsterdam. Those who are reasonably fit can reach all attractions in Amsterdam on foot. If you do not want to use the nearby metro or tram. The host Claudia has received us very nice. The B & B has two rooms. We had the cook's suite. The criticism refers to this room. Every day the breakfast (you can select the day before from a list) at the door. Coffee / tea can be made in the room at any time. Refrigerator is also available.

The apartment has its own personality, featuring fridge, coffe maker, facilities for tea, drinks, television and dvd, , the OMG bathroom with a hot room of your own! Your hostess Claudia, will welcome you every morning with a remarkable homemade breakfast, which will leave you prepared to visit the city. Our stay couldn't have been better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed for four nights. Claudia, the host, was extremely kind and helpful! She knows Amsterdam inside and out. she helped us with a taxi to the airport. We had a nice breakfast waiting for us in a basket each morning. The place is clean and welcoming. The location is central. I highly recommend the Flying Pancake as long as you can climb small, steep stairs.

After much research we were very excited and happy that we found the flying pancake b&b in Amsterdam. With great reviews for the B&B and owner. We booked both rooms in January, as we were meeting friends from abroad, and paid the deposit immediately to secure the booking. Claudia the owner was very friendly and quick to confirm our reservation.
Then the Corona virus pandemic changed everything. That's where the good ends.
All Our phone calls were unanswered yet when a friend called from The Netherlands it was answered immediately!!!
Eventually our email was answered offering us the Option to rebook within this year with the loss of minus 25% of the deposit. Due to the uncertainty of the situation we chose to cancel our booking as per the T&C’s stated on the website 2 months before arrival date. It also states that you have to make sure that the cancellation is confirmed in order to get the refund of 50%. We tired to contact her several times to please send us a confirmation....
To cut this very unpleasant and long story short, it took us 2 months of many emails and phone calls (all unanswered) to eventually get our deposit back.
In the given situation you would think that somebody that has so many years of successful hospitality experience and good reviews would understand the importance of communication in customer service. This behavior is simply rude and ignorant!!!
And the irony is......if Claudia had answered her phone we would have asked to rebook for next year at the same time, even with the loss of the 25%.
Instead she has 4 very disappointed and unhappy not clients and a bad review.
