I would start thanking the Wittenberg team for the big smiles they pass at guests whenever they see them. The most empathetic and understanding of customer service experience ever. I have traveled enough I would say across the world but haven't have had a better experience than this. Staying here for a year doesn't feel enough. No matter at what year, age, or time we come back to Amsterdam, we know of a home away from home - Wittenberg. Thank you for helping us from day 1 to day 365 of our stay. Kudos to the whole team for putting up spectacular hospitality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed at the Wittenberg for 2 months. Lovely place with super friendly crew. I would definitely come back should I require it again. The only drawbacks were the consistency of the house keeping. It should be a bit more standardised in terms of replenishing the household items. Sometimes you get 1 roll of toilet roll sometimes 2 (twice a week) or sometimes you get none and have to ask. sometimes you get 4 laundry tablet sometimes 2?!? And so on.
But apart from that. My experience with the Wittenberg were very positive!

We recently relocated from London to Amsterdam with our two french bulldogs and stayed at the Wittenberg for a little over a month while we looked for an apartment. The Wittenberg and the surrounding area are absolutely breathtaking and it has everything you would expect from a high-end hotel. For us, the thing that sets it apart is the amazing staff, something that can't be overlooked, especially during these challenging times. Relocation, especially during a pandemic can be challenging, but for us, due in large part to the staff, we have had a safe and seamless transition. Fun fact: If you take a walk down the block towards Artis Zoo in the morning you can listen to the all the monkeys singing - our dogs loved it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wittenberg is an amazing place to stay for anyone who is looking for something that feels more like home vs hotel.
Ideal for people who love the concept of Airbnb, but not into random shower gel in the bathroom cabinet, the fact that you have to take your own trash and taking your bedsheets off when you leave -I’m really not into that part-.
At Wittenberg all these services are included, which makes it the perfect stay for my 3 person family. The correspondence before arriving was prompt and friendly. And they really helped problem solve.
The location is ideal, it is quiet but close to city Centre. There is tons of restaurants around. The apartment we have is looking out over the canal and with 1 bedroom on the main floor and 1 bedroom on the mezzanine a great stay for small families. They do have 2 bathrooms in the apartment which is rare, but well appreciated.
The giant windows let in so much light and the decor is modern and has Scandinavian vibes.
In addition, the Wittenberg does provide baby beds and high chairs free of charge. They even installed a baby gate for us. They do not provide child locks for sockets, but that is a quick buy on bol.com. I would recommend this place highly and will definitely look to stay here in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family stayed here for 3 weeks and were impressed with the personal care and attention we were given by the staff. The rooms are small but well laid-out and appointed. This is a great up-and-coming neighborhood in Amsterdam with access to all the touristy spots without drunken shouting in the night. Very family friendly. This is our new favorite accommodation in the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apartment style rooms. Everything thing you need to feel at home. Kitchen is full equipped with dishes pot and pans plus much more. Refrigerator with freezer, stove and oven. Also a dishwasher and sink. Good size couch and ottoman in seating area. Nice size kitchen table for 2 people. Big bathroom for Europe. 2 people can fit in the shower and large mirror allows 2 people to get ready at the same time. Only bad thing is that they only give you new towels twice a week and new bedding once a week. But there is a free laundry room with washer and dryer on the second floor for all the residents to use. The rooms don't have air-conditioning but does supply a fan. They offer umbrella's to use on rainy days free of charge. Also bike rental for 16euros a day.
