★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited the Toko today, and the staff is absolutely wonderful! ? Had a great time shopping in the shop full with exotic products of all over the world. The lady behind the counter even gave me some free m&ms. ?? Girl if you ever see this, ur the sweetest!! <3

They finally got my japanese imported milk tea! ?
Nice local supermarket (lots of different beers) and friendly workers, they also have a small foodcorner with buns/sandwhiches with exotic fillings. I recommend the POM or the CHICKEN LIVER great flavors. For the vegetarians among us the tofu with green beans!
A 5 min walk from the metrostation THE PIJP.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely, warm, Asian sandwich bar with friendly service and good community ties. Each crunchy bun can be filled with a selection spiced lamb, chicken, beef, pork, shrimp and vegetarian toppings. Super value in overpriced Amsterdam.
From 3,50 you can't go wrong here. You get a good filling of your chosen topping to keep you charged and going for the day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's amazing how many different items they manage to pack into this small space. Friendly staff. Very neat and orderly store. Asian, Mexican, Indian cuisine (and even some American items) are all to find here. The online shop has much more. If you just want to grab something to go, they have a counter where you can order sandwiches and such.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located on Eerste van der Helststraat, just a stone throw away from the bustling Albert Cuyp Market and the gorgeous Sarphatipark, Tjin's Toko is a small supermarket stocking essential food ingredients from Asia, Caribbean, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Pakistan, South America, Suriname and U.S.A. The assortment is simply mind blowing. New items are being added all the time.
Tjin's is a favourite haunt of foodies in search of elusive sauces, spices and seasonings. The toko also offers an excellent home delivery service.
At the front of the store is a sandwich section selling delicious freshly prepared Surinamese inspired pistolet sandwiches. If you're lucky, you can get outside seating. Worth a visit, even if it's just for one of their superb sandwiches.
