Today I went with the intention to share a last minute dish with my 9 year old. "Shall we go for a menu?" "Ya! menu!" okay, you get the bami, I'll grab the vegetables causa mommy needs to loose some weight!"
So we order when I kindly request to separate the ingredients. oh oh...you just don't do that around here much, do you?
"no, that's against the rules..."
no further comment of how the end of that unpleasant discussion went.
Why oh why are your rules more important than your clients?
How difficult is it to prepare us one plate of your deliciously greasy microwaved food and offer us a solution with a spare empty plate so we can split our meal and enjoy each other's company?
The answer..."oh, we have enough satisfied clients..."

in 10 years in Holland I have seen amazing service and quite some terrible ones...
you guys have topped it. A simple gesture that would have made our brief stay at your restaurant a lovely experience turned out into a waste of time, energy and money.
We left with a full plate behind. We requested a none spicy bami, what did we get? spicy bami...what a pity...is it don't want spicy don't go Toko...? No the one a Juliana Plein is a much lovelier stay and service, not to mention the ones at Parkweg...sometimes practical solutions just don't cut it.

The place was about half full. The food was absolutely delicious. The spicy nasi and bami were just the right amount of hot and the employees did look like they were from Bali, which must be a good sign for an Indonesian restaurant. At around half past 12 the place got very busy and a big queue formed. I recommend to be on time here for lunch, but even if there is a wait it is definitely worth it.
