My appointment was for 12 on a Sunday and they did not arrive to open the store until 12:15 while I waited outside. I asked for stiletto nails, which I know are not that popular! When I saw she wasn't going to be able to shape them how I wanted I said square is fine. She continued to round my nails... not a huge deal either. BUT none of my nails had the same shape/length. Some were more oval than others some still square, some filed down way too short. Maybe it was the language barrier as she did not speak English but she did not understand what I was trying to complain about. Perhaps the guy who owns the place does a better job as he had about 3 customers lined up waiting for him. I also got the spa pedicure and the polish was chipping the next day. :( Bad experience for the $$

Booked for 7pm and it’s currently 19:35 and still waiting, they keep saying “5 minutes”, I’m not the only one either - 2 other women have been waiting over an hour for their appointments and they’re weekly regular customers. Disgraceful service! Won’t be coming back here! How dare you waste people’s valuable time in this manner!
R	Randy Lyons on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having just come from my first (and LAST!) visit there, if I could give American Solar Nails a rating of ZERO stars, or a negative amount of stars, I would, because they truly deserve it! I made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure combo. I arrived exactly on time and there were already several people there waiting, but only two nail techs working. They made me wait approx 20 mins before they got me in the pedi-spa. The female tech started on my feet and then two minutes in another customer came in and she switched to doing her manicure and left me in the pedi spa. I then waited another 20 mins before she came back. During the actual pedicure she kept digging her finger nails into my foot. She also got too aggressive with the pumice stone and actually cut one of my toes. When she finished, she motioned for me to go over to the manicure table. By that point, I was done and just paid for the pedicure and left. She didn't speak any English and for a nail salon named "AMERICAN Solar Nails", I would have expected that they would at least speak a little bit of English---nope. This was by far the worst pedicure experience I have ever had and as a new resident of Amsterdam was looking for a regular place to get my nails done. This is not it!

To make you not go away, they take off the nails and then they make you wait, so you can't go away...... Again, if I make a reservation I want to be the one and only, I was the only one and waited 1 hour overall.
V	Vikki Walker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been coming here for a good few years now and am always happy with the results. The staff are very friendly and professional. I'm always complemented on how beautiful my nails are! I've also had the spa pedicure, which is fantastic too!! Highly recommend!!!
A	April Foster on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible!!! Despite having an appointment, I had to wait 20-25 minutes. Slow service. Manicure and pedicure took 2 hours total. Manicure completely chipped off the very next day. I'm not talking a small chip here or there from not being careful or doing the dishes. Literally the entire polish peeled off. He used a top coat as the base coat, after I asked about this, he insured me it would be fine. He also used the electric file to "polish" my nail before putting on the nail polish. I now have extremely thin nails with deep ridges where my nail is growing in from. For the manicure, he didn't use any cuticle oil or hand lotion. I had to ask for lotion afterwards because my hands were obviously dry. I would have gone back to request polish change but I was traveling through.
