★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Front desk staff were courteous, friendly and professional. Couldnt say the same about the housekeeping staff who I found to be unfriendly and abraisive. Breakfast was ok but I found the meal choices quite limited. Great view of the water from the room and lots of complimentary coffee and tea making facilities. It's proximity to town was also a bonus. Overall an ok stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel with large rooms and very well equipped facilities such as minibar TV etc. Closely located to the town centre and restaurants. Nice to just walk to the shops and little cafe's and restaurants. Also very fairly priced if any accommodation in the European Zone can be regarded as fairly priced. Food and service typical Dutch. Not the most friendly people in the world. They actually think that they doing you a favour to stay there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ nice location of the hotel, walking distance to city center of Alkmaar and train station. hotel is clean and my room was quite spacious. even though the hotel doesn't provide lunch or dinner but lots of restaurants choices and eating places nearby. nice surroundings with nearby park for quick jogging. all and all very nice stay

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location near Alkmaar centre. Quiet and clean rooms. Regularly stay here for work. Large rooms have balcony and jet bath available for guests. Breakfasts are well stocked and serve a good variety, the bacon is particularly tasty. Staff are friendly and always willing to help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very professional and friendly staff. Great location from the city centre. The room was clean, good and spacious enough to fit 3 adults in. However, a little bit noisy as the windows does not seem isolated at all. Had a very pleasant view and nice stay though. Will definitely recommend it. Thank you kindly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel for a relaxing stay, very close to Alkmaar center. The personnel is very kind and helpful, the rooms are clean, spacious and quiet, and the breakfast is delicious. Will definitely return. Alkmaar is a beautiful city worth visiting.

- Good atmosphere at reception (a little dated but gezellig).
- good breakfast
- large bedroom area, one can do yoga with that much space
Cons:
- The check in was very slow, like 15min to checkin 2 people without any qeueing (their software looks like outdated by how the employees work with it.
- Wind blowing hard through the window ventilation system caused a high pitched hissing...I couldnt really sleep all night. Please solve this.
