Avis Autoverhuur Eindhoven Airport - Luchthavenweg 13 B

I was a bit skeptical when booking a car hire with Avis, especially after reading all the bad reviews on here but oddly enough the whole process at Avis Eindhoven went all nice and smoothly when taking the car and dropping it off. I spoke to a lovely gentleman at the reception by the name of Vennie which helped us out with our prepaid booking since we booked it online. Asked us if we wanted to take out Avis's own insurance and we kindly declined since we had our own. Our chosen car of choice (Mercedes C-Class) was not available however we did end up getting a Volkswagen Tiguan which I couldn't be more happier with. Nice and comfortable. We were given the keys to go pick up the car from their own parking, which was a bit confusing since there were other cars from other car hire companies parked up too and no staff at hand. We were informed that if we see any dents or scratches we should come and report it to the reception and they'll amend the pre-existing agreement. The car had a few minor scratches on the rear seat and rear bumper which were not recorded on the agreement sheet. So I quickly took out my GoPro and recorded the whole car around and showed it to Vennie at reception. He quickly amended the contract and printed out a new one with the issues listed. I highly recommend everyone doing this before driving off. Yes, it's a hassle but it will save you a lot of grief later on. On return, we waited 30 minutes to give the keys back but this was purely my fault because I thought that I had to wait in line but I was advised for future reference that I can just drop off the key and everything will be dealt with. In addition I asked the receptionist if the car could be inspected before closing the contract off, just to put my mind at ease. I was instructed that a gentleman named Saeed was waiting in the car park and that he will inspect the vehicle before closing it off. Saeed inspected the care thoroughly and everything looked good. I even kept my reciept to show that I have brought back the car full tank. Overall my experience was good with Avis and I will probably hire a car with them again.

I will definitely still use the services of AVIS!

They claim damage that was absolutely not caused by me. They sent unclear pictures of a part of the car (unidentifiable) and claimed 170 euro damage for a scratch. Reading the reviews afterwards, I see I am not the only one. Avoid this company.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid! Total scam -- took 170 euros extra based on a window scratch, they claimed, after giving us the worst car in the lot. The car was returned on time, full tank, etc. They identified the problem 4 hours after drop-off -- our airplane had already left by then. "Ruud" was the one who documented the problem. Proper spelling should be "Rude". ANY POSITIVE REVIEWS ON HERE ARE CLEARLY IN ON THE SCAM Seriously, how is this company even allowed to continue to be in business?

The worst experience ever. They are charging customers which are taking their insurance! Without any information they are using customer's bank card and doin' whatever they want. Car was returned to time, with full tank and perfect condition. Even if we did any scratch or damage (of course we didn't..) you can't touch my money without informing me because that's why i decided to buy from you this insurance..

Very good car rental company. The car was in the good condition, clean. Very low deposit, overall cost also not so big. Full insurance. Deposit was given back just after 3 days after returning the car.

Ruud van Hassel (Avis - Airport Manager Eindhoven) was quite friendly and supported us on anything that we needed. He is highly recommended! I want to thank him once again!

I have been charged by mistake for an extra day. The mistake has been admitted and acknowledged but I can't receive back the money earlier then a few weeks. When I checked with the desk I was challenged by the person picking up the phone why is this an issue.
