About Bagels & Beans
Een lunchroom of koffiebar willen we het niet noemen. Een broodjeszaak ook niet, trouwens. Bij ons eet je bagels, geen broodjes. Naast belegde bagels om je vingers bij af te likken (en koffie om je kopje bij af te likken), vertroetelen we je graag met lekkers en gezonds voor ontbijt, lunch, brunch of tussendoortje.
Er zijn zo’n 80 vrijplaatsen in Nederland. Best bijzonder voor wat in 1996 begon als een eigenwijze ontbijt- en lunchroom aan de Ferdinand Bolstraat in de Amsterdamse Pijp.
We hebben de bagel in Nederland op de kaart gezet, en daar zijn we best een beetje trots op. Onze koffie is afkomstig van een kleinschalige familieplantage op de heuvels van de vulkaan Baru in Panama waar ze bijna alles nog handmatig doen. En het mooie van dit alles? Omdat we in heel Nederland gevestigd zijn, zit er altijd een vestiging bij jou in de buurt!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is disappointing. The service takes ages and we waited for our order more than 30 minutes. Moreover, the cups are not aesthetic and the drink Monkey Business has a strong banana taste, which is not balanced with the chocolate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place has a really nice location. The service however is a disaster. We have been sitting for 15 minutes to order and they didn’t even let us finish our order. We have been waiting for 30 minutes for our food.
Please hire more people for this café.

My wife, who must eat gluten free, ordered a gluten free bagel.
Unfortunately, although the staff even asked if she was allergic to gluten, my wife had an allergic reaction after eating the Bagel, suggesting the bagel was contaminated with gluten.
Therefore not recommendable if you need to eat gluten free.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love their sweet iced coffee! If you are looking for a sweet kick with caffeine, it is highly recommended. A must try is also their smocked chicken bagel options. It pairs well with the drinks they offer. Personal recommendation for bagel: sundried tomato bagel!
