A masterclass in a lack of communication and rudeness. Avoid unless you want breakfast by dinner time. UPDATE: Following response from the owner: I am glad that others had a better experience than us on that day. Our review was based on this one experience not on our family’s previous visits. They do love the café and will continue to come. I do not agree that we were rude, we simply stated how upset we were with the lack of communication about timing. All we were looking for at the time was an apology with some admission of fault of behalf of the café. It is disappointing that you have decided to blame us. We too were very upset by the experience as we had been looking forward to it and had given ourselves 2 hours for the meal, which I am sure that anyone would agree is plenty enough time for breakfast. END RESPONSE. We arrived at 0930 and were seated on a nice big table with only 6 other people in the cafe. 4 of which were already waiting for food. After a short while we placed our drinks order and waited for our food order to be taken...and waited and waited. When we asked for our food order to be taken we were told that it'd be a few minutes, this time passed and when we asked again we were informed that we would be unlikely to get our food for an hour. At this point we had already waited for around 45 minutes and the cafe had filled up a little more. Other tables had filled up and were having drink orders taken and some their food orders. On speaking to the member of staff we were informed that it was too busy for us to expect to be served our food in good time and that we simply didn't understand what was involved in her job, seemingly we were the problem. If we'd been told about the long wait for food when we arrived we would have left straight away, although this wouldn't have been the case if our order had been taken straight away. Current staff shortages affect everybody, but good, honest communication would have gone a long way in this instance. We were made to feel like an inconvenience to her so promptly left, going next door to Coco for excellent prompt service.

My favorite cafè in DH! Great decor & atmosphere, and a very exciting menu! Loved their hot apple juice, chai latte, & confetti cake. The staff were friendly & pleasant. I was having a business meeting & the waitress knew when to come to our table & when not to. I will definitely go back for business & pleasure ;D

I personally disliked Confetti. To start off, the "Confetti favorite" cappuccino was nothing special, the type of coffee didn't marry well the milk. Then, I ordered the salad with bacon, tomatoes and asked to add mushrooms, which they initially forgot. The salad came 40 min after we placed the full order (6 people in the kitchen area, you would think orders would get out faster) had a slight drizzle of white sauce that didn't do anything to the taste of the bland tomatoes and overall the presented dish was more a pile of salad ingredients, bread and two pieces of butter. Upon hearing my remark on the salad the waitress came over to explain that this is how salads in Holland are made... Price wise it was on the expensive side. On the other hand my friends liked their dishes, and there is a possibility to order alcoholic drinks. Overall you can find much better brunch places in the area.

Love the vibes of this place. Everything organic what I love and vegan options. Super friendly waiters, make you feel welcome. To me the pita with hummus was a little too blend, the roasted pumpkin was very thin and just 3 mini slices, think if that would be a little bit more it would make the taste more yummy. Next time I’ll pick something else on the menu cuz it all sounds very delicious. So will come back :-)

We had the fried egg on bread with bacon (super crispy), the bread with avocado, grilled mushrooms & pancakes. Everything was really delicious! They have several vegan/vegetarien food & drink options. The staff was also super nice and friendly.

I would like to start by saying we were the table of 4 mentioned in the negative review left by Adam. Let's clear some things up. There were more than just 6 people at the restaurant when their party arrived. As they were getting settled, the entire restaurant filled up. We had not yet ordered our food when PART of their party arrived at Confetti. Around the time we ordered food, the remainder of their party arrived. Just as our food was arriving, they began making a scene, complaining that service was too slow. It had not been more than 30 minutes. I did not feel that anything was unreasonable about that - it's a weekend morning at a tiny brunch cafe. Especially if you have a tight schedule - don't sit down in continental Europe! Idon't understand what they were expecting but they are completely unrealistic expectations. I think they must be very miserable and unkind people and everything about this situation was their own doing. They made the waitress cry and made themselves look like donkeys. As for Confetti, we loved it. The food was plentiful, fresh, organic and local. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is perfect and quaint, I love the fun, relaxing and quirky decor. Service was great, all employees were so kind and friendly. We liked it so much (even though those jerks tried to ruin it) that we returned the next day, as well! Prices were on par with places at home (Chicago proper).
