A great bakkerij with rich history since 1732...

It is an overrated bakery. We went there with great expectations but we got less

Great bakery. Got here by chance and bought a “pain au chocolat” by the owner’s recommendation. Didn’t regret it. I’ll definitely come back.

Friendly little bakery with delicious products, including sandwiches, plus a few items like dairy, juice, and eggs. Right on the Nieuwegracht (canal) in a very scenic neighborhood.

I visited the bakery at circa 2 pm which might explain the lean selection of bread and WHICH IS WORSE, the total lack of baguette (according to the staff they solely sell those on weekends) Fortunately though I quickly was able to find a substitute, a 1/4 baguette (a short bread with a sort of baguette form) which did cost me SUPER EXPENSIVE 70 cent. In addition I wanted to try out one of the sweets, in the end (which took relatively long since the saleswoman struggled recommending me one) I did go for an american cookie which also was SUPER EXPENSIVE 1.50 € The bread and the cookie were gorgeously delicious and truly set themselves apart from other bakeries... though I'm contemplating if they were worth the money. The bakery gets 3 of 5 stars with a tendency to 4 stars. If you don't mind spending money galore on bread, don't hesitate going there. If you're looking for a baguette on weekdays or something for less bucks, rather go somewhere else.

A really nice bakery and my friend told me it's from the 1800s. Anyway, the bread is really good and not so expensive. The staff is nice and kind and explains to you about the breads etc. I'd recommend it for sure . It's a cute little bakery
