Update Feb 2022: so my wife and I go for a nice beer and some food. Firstly we are ignored. Then ignored. All the others are served around us. All the Dutch. We left. Didn’t feel welcome anymore, which is a shame as I went about 59 times in the past

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique, vast but still cozy. This is without the question the best (beer) bar in Utrecht. It's ambiance, the drinks on offer and the service are all wonderful. After the reopening they've changed the menu, do check out the new beers on offer! And if it's your first time in the bar ask for the history book!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Each beer arrives in a unique glass! There are other beverages available like wine and so on. So it's not purely beer! The food was delicious! At our table 4/6 got the burger with short ribs on top and then I enjoyed the carpaccio broodje and the last lady had the tonijn broodje. It was all delicious! The space itself is so beautiful. High ceilings and so different!
