 Had a lovely lunch here at a reasonable price. Tasty cappuccino. Very friendly woman serving. Recommended.

The smell of French fries when having coffee in the afternoon was not okay.
Also we didn't understand why the waitress was replacing all the burning candles by new ones while people were sitting at the tables and disturbing their conversation.
Replacing them when they're burning doesn't sound oké anyhow. Why not after they stop burning.

The only standout feature was the mirror in the toilet. It looked so cool I was tempted to ask the staff where they had bought it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Beestenmarkt (named after the animal market that was held here in the old days) is a lovely and intimate square in the old city center of Delft.
Bars and restaurants with (heated) terraces line the 4 sides. We like Monastere on the south-west corner of the square. A brasserie-style restaurant and wine bar that serves a great black angus burger and grilled-on-the-spot chicken for the kids.
