β β β β β It's really interesting to learn how the things worked back there. You can see and touch the history, in addition there are various types of cheese to try and buy. This is the heritage of Holland, the village where our favourite cheese had been first made and then sold.

β β β β β Very nice and polite community. We visited market on Wednesday at 10:00 to 12:00, but you need to check a which day is the market open, it is available only 4 times a month. Almost all markets provide you possibility to taste different types of Edam cheese before buying the right one for you. We encountered about 25 different types and flavours. Everyone speaks English and they are happy to tell you specifics aboutβ factoring the cheese.

β β β β β Beautiful place. Unfortunately, we've missed the market (open only on Wednesdays AFAIK). But the whole village is very picturesque.

β β β β β If you love cheese a lot, you should definetely visit this lovely store. They have really tasty cheeses. And they let you try, before buying it. They have different kinds of souvenirs as well, but you cannot eat them obviously :)

β β β β β Edam is a charming little village with a good vibe and lots of variety. But the Cheese Market, to me, is Edam. I really liked this place. It has simplicity, history, elegance and cheese! Folks were friendly and willing to put up with us butchering their language. Cheese was top notch and well priced. And of course, the views around and in town. TrΓ¨s cool.

β β β β β We visited 5 years ago and we a little disappointed. Visited again in 2017 and the transformation has been fantastic. This is a market you must not miss if you're in the area. A great historical display and reenactment, as well as great cheeses, stalls and atmosphere. The prices at the stalls were cheaper than from the cheese factory's that we'd visited, and we even cheaper than many of the shops in the area. A great time was had here by ourselves and our kids.
