Great wines as well. Usually very busy and takes no reservations but you can sit at the bar and have a few drinks, worth the wait. Also a nice terrace weather permitting. Good for friends, family but also a good place to take your gf

It's absolutely packed with people waiting for a table, some wait for hours, and as soon as you are done with your dinner you're asked to leave. After a three course dinner we ordered one more round of drinks but were told we have to leave our table as we are done with eating. That gave the otherwise nice evening a bitter flavour.

They don't take reservations on Friday so we had to wait for a bit, but they have this small cozy waiting area where you can kick off your dinner with bubbels and some small starters. After being assigned to a table the personal experience doesn't go away and we got recommend a couple of really nice dishes including wine pairing advice. I took the carpaccio with truffel mayonaise and after the diamond skirt steak, both really nice. Finished off with a nice cheese board.
N	Nathan Vennekens on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wijmpje Beukers is a cozy restaurant in “de Pijp” in Amsterdam. You can’t make a reservation so you have to come early or queue up. The staff is very friendly and they do everything to make it a great evening. The food is fresh and tasty. The choice in beer is limited, the cava is nice. I had Asian style coquilles and pumpkin Wellington-style. We ordered ‘pindarotsjes’ (peanuts covered in chocolate) with our coffee and tea. I hoped that these were home-made but they seemed to be the regular ones from the supermarket. That was the only minus. All in all, it was a great place for a fun dinner with friends (come early).

The staff is really friendly, kind and generous in explanations around their dishes, wine menu and cocktails. The food is varied and really well prepared, seasoned and thought-out. I've enjoyed vegan, vegetarian and meaty dishes. All were delicious and on point. New favorite spot ?
