★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prachtige plek! Fort Nassau met uitkijkpunt en kanonnen. Een schitterende toevoeging wat betreft beleving van cultuurhistorie in Retranchement. Een zichtlocatie cq uitzichtpunt met uitkijk vanaf het Fort met de vestingwallen over het omringende landschap en de andere zijde het dorp en het Zwin. Alsof de kanonnen (van cortenstaal) elk moment kunnen gaan bulderen! Replica’s uit de Tachtigjarige Oorlog, toen prins Maurits een garnizoen in Retranchement had opgesteld om de Zwinmonding te verdedigen tegen de Spaanse schepen.
