Sehenswert . A very nice city center with nice shops, not just chains. The market is a nice change. Some stands with organic products. Worth seeing .

Du gehst über den Marktplatz,die Fussgängerzone mit seinen Cafes rechts und linksseits, und bist umgeben von vielen Künstlern mit ihren Kunswerken aus aller Welt. Wie in einer Open Air Gallerie fühlt man sich,und es gibt so einiges zu sehen. Auch das entstehen der Kustwerke ist spannend zu zusehen. Alles ist schön bunt und außergewöhnlich. Auch 3D Bilder gibts hier und da zu bestaunen. Wenn du müde geworden bist, kannst du dich entweder einfach zu den Künstlern setzen und dich etwas unterhalten mit ihnen, oder du suchst dir einen Platz in einem der Cafes und lässt bei einer guten Tasse Kaffee deine Seele baumeln und betrachtest dir den Trubel. Es fand eigentlich regelmäßig jedes jahr statt, was sich durch Corona allerdings geändert hat. Vielleicht im nächsten Jahr wieder... The big street painting festival in Geldern, a beautiful artistic pleasure for young and old. You walk across the market square, the pedestrian zone with its cafes on the right and left, and you are surrounded by many artists with their works of art from all over the world. You feel like you are in an open air gallery and there is so much to see. The development of the Kustwerke is also exciting to see. Everything is beautifully colorful and extraordinary. There are also 3D pictures to marvel at here and there. When you've gotten tired, you can either just sit down next to the artists and have a chat with them, or you can find a place in one of the cafes and relax with a good cup of coffee and watch the hustle and bustle. It actually took place regularly every year, but this has changed due to Corona. Maybe next year again ...

Höhepunkt war eine Eisbahn, wo Groß und Klein Schlittschuhe laufen konnten. The marketplace was designed for Christmas under the motto "Hot on ice". Several stands provided food and drink. The highlight was an ice rink where young and old could skate.
